LS Engine?: Car has LS engine

I am thinking of selling my 2006 GTO. It is a Salvage title car, but was put back together with GM parts. It is Spice Red Metallic and it is a automatic. The car came from the factory with 18" wheels and the car currently has 4,126 miles on it. I bought the car in 2007 and have slowly worked on it to get it fixed right. Most of the damage on the car was on the front passanger side and required a New Factory GM Hood, I bought a used bumper cover from someone off of LS1GTO.com and the upper and lower radiator supports where replace with new GM parts along with other small repairs. The Pass side headlght, fog light, lower grill, radiator and a/c condensor where also replaced. I did replace both airbag and the airbag control module. A few of the rims had damage and were replaced, but I did keep the damage rims and the should be able to be fixed and will be included with the sale. I do have pics of the damage before the repairs to show what has been done, but that is for serious buyers only (not tire kickers). I would really like this to be a local sale so the buyer can come and take a look and see the car first hand.
The car is located in Newton KS and can be seen by appointment.
ASKING $13,600

Here are some pics from a local track day. This is the only time the car has been to the track or raced.

Time was 13.80's. The car can be tagged and registered, but it will always be known that it was previously wrecked. Keep in mind this is a brand new car with only 4k miles on it. It was wrecked in 06-07, if you went out and bought a brand new 2010 SS Camaro and it got wreck most people would like the insurance company to buy the wrecked one and go buy another new one. I think that is part of the reason the insurance bought and salvaged titled the car.

I bought my first GTO with a salvage title. I would not hesitate to do it again. You are selling it for a great price. Hopefully someone will jump on it. Spice Red is pure SEX!

I saw that, its just that most people get those two confused, and being salvage would also make it illegal to drive on public roads requiring it to be towed home. Its rather important info to have.

Oh. Well I didn't know that. Thanks for the info btw! That would save me some headache in the future! How do you change a salvage title to a title where you can drive it?

You would need to pass inspection in your state of residence. In some states its tougher then others and you need to show receipts of what was fixed and by whom and etc.

Also you cant just show up for inspection you need to schedule an appointment and it may require a few weeks to over a month waiting period, a friend got a Spice red GTO crashed and then fixed it and he had to wait 3 weeks before the inspection, which in Illinois they are REAL rigorous about.

If its a rebuilt title then you just re register it and you receive a rebuilt title in your state of residence and thats the end of that.
