Default 1988 RX7 10th anniversary turbo ULTRA LIGHT lsx drag race chassis

Year: 1988
Make: Mazda
Model: RX-7
Price: $3500
Mileage: 75000
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): OH
Color: Black
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive
LS Engine?: Car has LS engine

This long project has exhausted its ambitious drive. I sadly have room for only one project car, so i have decided to part ways with my fc3s.
1988 10th anniversary turbo 2- satin black
75k miles on chassis, (complete roller with everything sans longblock and a few other items)

(ROLLING SHELL, NO POWERTRAIN)

This car has a
-tydo race cars prepped narrowed 8.8 torque arm setup with a strange spool, 31? spline narrowed strange axles, hd lower links with heim joints, hd watts linkage, HD everything on the rear end.(this was over 4500.00 alone), gets rid of the garbage IRS stuff and makes this thing ready to do bumper draggers since its almost right at 1 ton. You can fit a 325 radial tire underneath the rear with EASE..

- aerospace components rear drag disc brakes for 5/8 wheelstuds, moser 5/8 stud kit

-9 gallon fuel cell,

-10 feed, -8 return.

-Hinson ls1 mount kit,

-manual rack conversion,

- front lakewood 90-10 shocks with qa1 coilovers and 170 lb springs(still require minimal work to put on car/ie: drill holes, shim the strut to the knuckle, make top hat mount..)

-Rear has strange dual adjustable coilovers.

-Car includes a pre fabbed anti roll bar for the rear end that would attach to a cage in the rear..

-VDO gauges and autometer tach and aem fuel pressure gauge (no sender for gauges, got absconded along the way some how, new ones are cheap anyways)

-custom radiator up front to allow room for large front mount turbo kit.
NRG steering wheel hub. also stock 10ae steering wheel.

I will basically give you every rx7 part i have for the asking price. The only missing items from when this was a running car is the items listed below

Exterior of car is in good shape, little to no rust besides light floorboard rust near the rear of the seat pan area due to some previous simpleton jacking the car up in the wrong spot. Paint of the car has been resprayed in sem trim black. Car has stock body panels besides 30mm over fenders which allow BIG rear tires. Have had 325's on it at one point. Ran daily on 315 35 17 et street radial 2's

Interior is stripped and car has a half dashboard with custom gauge cluster.

The needs to make this a complete running car are a
longblock,
radiator hoses,
race wheels/tires,
brake hard lines,
shifter,
driveshaft, (ill give you the custom one thats built for a powerglide)
auto harness and ecu, or if you choose to put a 6 speed in this, it already comes with a 6mt wired harness, you just need a slave cylinder/master cylinder and a t56 for it.
windshield, (had began to pull the existing one out for lexan, and it got totally smashed from some hick that thought he knew what he was doing)
seat/harnesses.
-fuel pump/filters/regulator
3500 OBO takes everything. (thats a rolling shell with a 4500 dollar totally upgraded 8.8 rear end conversion, a 250-450 dollars in fuel lines and fittings, new turbo brakes(work ridiculous good for the weight this little thing is, +tons of extras)

75k on chassis, clear title, no accidents, currently is legitimately registered in ohio as a collector car.

(does not include weldon regulator or filter, already on my gto

If you are genuinely interested, i can get better pictures of whatever it is. Just figured i would get this up for sale to gauge some interest before i drag everything out and start taking pictures. The pictures listed are just all i have of it at the moment.

Car is located in cincinnati.

This car would be a absurd project for someone who already has an fbody and wants to seriously blow some local ace holes out of the water. I can not express how light this car is. Just with a mild bolt on ls1 and a mediocre nitrous kit this car ROLLED OUT on high 130 trapping cars when it was IRS. If you had 600 hp, this will rip the damn rear bumper off with the suspension/rear end setup it now has in it I'd assume. an 8.8 may not be that good in most cars, but this thing is LIGHT.

Priced to sell FAST!
Thanks for any interest!

Possible trades interested in...

Forged 408+ci shortblock
NICE tubular turbo manifolds that would work on gto+ some money

(does not come with this intercooler, its already sold)
(suspension just needs a top hat to be fabricated in order to be complete.)

(the weldon stuff is gone, as mentioned before, i am just posting up better angles of pics for interested parties)

(better view of the torque arm)

just to show the condition of the wheel wells, they are all rust free with brand new undercoating and everything is in tact. New bushings throughout, just needs new hardlines ran to each wheel for brakes)
the little upside down coffin is where you will mount your fuel pump. Just drill new holes in it, and it will bolt right up so its lower than the bottom of the cell.

again, does not include the intercooler and weldon stuff.
this should elaborate on the size turbo you can fit on this car. theres a good 1.75 feet in front of the motor. easily fit a pt106 in there.
this is some of the fuel stuff. Again, this is an older pic, but just shows you how i had it setup. I had my lines running inside the car at one point after i damaged a line hanging it up on road debris, and got frustrated and just ran the **** inside the car.
water jetted sunroof plug
trunk pins and spring pins instead of the 5 lb locking **** it came with.
hood pins and 200mph spring pins on hood.
how the old old setup used to sit for reference.

how the gauge cluster looks, does not come with this steering wheel, and now has an aem fuel pressure gauge in the cluster.
will also throw this 3.5 inch apex gt spec exhaust setup for sanderson long tubes with the car.

If you are putting a t56/lsx swap into this car, all you will have to do literally to wire it up, is plug the harness to your motor. The wiring is done and it still has the harness i used when i drove the car for a year in it. Just need to finish everything up otherwise.

i also found both stock seats in my shed, so ill include those as well. Then its fewer items the new owner would need to get it mobile.

Willing to wheel and deal on this for trades.

Just looking for something to take up less space in the garage.

Whatever you have worth 3500, lets hear about it.

as long as the blazer is legit, runs good, and has no issues, it sounds like we have a winner.

My truck is all pulled apart right now anyways so this is a perfect offer at just the right time.

What motor is in the blazer? How many miles? Any issues?

ok or not. no response.

this thing is still for sale. I have factory struts for it, and am about to put the stock rear end back in it, strip all the parts off it, and take it to the crusher. Then sell the parts to some other rx7 clowns.

Last call before i torch this ******.

im actually using most of the parts on my c20 84 scottsdale. Putting a 5.3 single turbo/4l80e in it and using the radiator for said project.

The car is priced right!!! It would be fun with the 422 stroker! But unfortunately the divorce it would most likey cause would make it too costly. TTT
