To die-hard Subaru guys, this is a textbook example of how to build a bugeye. I've owned the car for the better part of the past decade, and can account for all the work that has been done under the hood. I've recently rephased the top-end and replaced the turbo and injectors. The car runs unbelievably strong, especially for the automatic transmission, and conservative road tune at 18psi - once on the dyno, I've been told that the car should arrive in the neighborhood of 325-350whp. I've been babying her until she see's the dyno for bigger numbers, but she's a lot of fun when you let her open up.
As for any cons this car may have, there are a few couple very small dings (no bigger than your fingertip, honestly), the driver side front coilover has developed some mild knock when hitting hard bumps, and I've yet to do the head gasket / timing belt (which I'd take care of as a precaution before tuning for big WHP numbers - main reason I haven't gone in for my dyno tune yet). Again, I've babied this car as long as I've had it, so my apprehensions / precutions would be another person's oversights; just being honest. Also, since installing a new starter, it takes a few cranks for the car to start - I just ended up getting used to it. Car never fails to start, just not as immediate as it would have been stock. Might be a camshaft position sensor, even. Not sure. Hasn't raised an issue.
My plans, if I were to keep it, would have been to go E85 and hybrid, but I've lost interest. However, this car is surely the perfect platform for anyone looking to go that route themselves. I know I'm going to miss it!!
Feel free to contact for more / hi-res photos or with any further questions you may have about the car.
As far as trades are concerned, I will ONLY consider a 68-72 Chevy Nova, a well-sorted S13/S14 Nissan Silvia, or any LSx swapped tuner (RX7, Silvia, etc.). Also intersted in LSx swapped Notchback Mustangs
Thanks!
