Buy My 2001 Camaro SS.
Here is a quick glace about the car, look further below for the in-depth details.
This is my 2001 Camaro SS with a FRESH Yank PE3600 which has a massive lockup clutch and makes an excellent street converter and performs excellent at the track. The transmission is a Transmission Physicians-built 4L60E that was rebuilt about 1,000 miles ago. The engine is a 5,000 mile forged 347 with a stock nodular iron crank (good for 800ish hp). The brand new NOS 5177 nitrous kit has only been sprayed two times. TWO TIMES. Once on the dyno and once on the street. Currently, there are PRC Stage 2.5 5.3 heads that have been milled to a pump gas-friendly compression ratio of 11.2:1. These will be swapped out for TrickFlow heads later this month for a GM High Tech Performance article. This should greatly increase horsepower over the current cylinder heads. If I had to guess, 15-25rwhp. With the current setup it puts 430rwhp down, so the new power should make for a sick automatic.
As the car sits it will run 12.0XX at 117mph on the 17-inch Toyo RA1 road race radials. This is without any adjustment to the suspension. To put this into perspective, the car ran 12.2 at 115mph on the same setup when I had my previous cam. It ran an 11.1 at 119mph on slicks and I would guess that it should be right in the same range since I have added the full interior back in. Now, take into account the nitrous system. It's currently set up for a 125rwhp shot and that should shoot it into the mid-to-low 10's on slicks. I will leave it up to you to find the full potential of the engine and chassis, it should be impressive with the TFS heads.
The reason I'm selling is because I honestly don't drive the car anymore. Anyone who knows when I spun the rod bearing a couple of years ago can attest to this. I have put on about 2,000 miles a year and gone to the track about 5 or 6 times over this time. Never once using the nitrous system. I have no interest in keeping the car since I'm entirely out of drag racing. I have other plans for a different car in the future and the GTO will hold me over until then. My pricing is based on the cleaness of the car, quality of the parts and installation. The engine is new, the tires are new, the brakes are new, the rearend is new, and the suspension is nearly completely done. External paint is about an 8 of 10. There are only three areas of interest as far as that goes. The bumper has about a 2x3-inch area where the clear coat has peeled, the rear fenders have some mild ripples, probably from the neck-snapping 1.4 60-foots this car is capable of on motor. I will be asking $14,000 and no trades for it. It's available in February once the article obligations are taken care of.

Thank you for your consideration. I assure you that as far as modified LS cars goes, this is one of the safest ones to buy. I'm not an idiot, I don't drive like and idiot, and I certainly know what I'm doing with the car. It has always been my baby and I earned the reputation of being obsessive compulsive with it because I had it almost spot-free everytime I drove it. It's currently garage kept under a cover.
