1998 Bright Metallic Purple Trans Am convertible 406 RWHP 1 of 42
Very Rare, 1 of only 42 Bright Metallic Purple TransAm convertibles ever made.
Currently the car has 81500 miles. Looking for 9,000$.
Garaged and very well taken care of. Built to hold around 600 RWHP.
This car has been tested 12.8 in the quarter with a 1.8 60ft time before the cam install and a LS1 intake. It was estimated to go 11.9 in the quarter. This car dynoed at 406, just under 500 hp at the flywheel.
Modification work done at G force in Houston, one of the best high performance shops in Texas. **All wires were hidden in engine bay for a clean look. Pop the hood and you see a clean looking bay, not cluttered or hard to get to parts. All professionally sealed for any kind of weather though it's been the sunny day driver with three owners.**
Engine Modifications: Custom Comp's camshaft 240/244 .609/.612 114 LSA, LS6 ported oil pump, Rollmaster Dual Timing Chain, COMP Hi-Tech Pushrods, Patriot Performance Gold Valvespring Kit (Dual Valvesprings good to .650" lift, Titanium Retainers, Steel Locks, and GM Valve Seals), under drive Power bond pulley. LS6 intake with new 99 knock sensor, LS6 MAF, Port and polished throttle body, MSD wires NGK plugs, 160* stat. Battery relocated to the trunk. Full tune with new PCM installed last year by Trifecta Performance. I am picky about maintenance and smooth performance at all times. There are no running issues with this car, passed emissions Feb 2009.
Transmission: built 5000 miles ago with a 2000 stall and Trans cooler. Empire drive line 3.5in aluminum drive shaft when the trans was installed.
Suspension: UMI Lower control arms with bolt on relocation brackets, adjustable pan hard bar and torque arm, poly bushings. 1LE rear coil springs in the back with Eibach springs in the front mounted on Bielstien struts. 6 point Wolf Chrom Moly roll cage installed, painted to match.
Exhaust: Kooks coated long tube headers with ORY which includes the AIR and EGR delete, Borla adjustable exhaust, MTI air lid with KN filter.
Extras: C5 chrome wheels with nitto 555's. 17x8.5 with 245/45/17 on front and 18x9.5 with 285/35/18 on back, 7000 miles on them or about 85% tread left. It has a custom Wolf Chrom Moly roll bar for safety and track qualifying. Two piece tonneau paint matched covers will come with the car, easily removed for storage. The interior has black/gray Recaro racing seats, drivers side has small tear where driver gets in and out, easily repaired by any upholstery shop. Black carpet replaced 2 years ago when roll bar was installed. Defi heads up display with reflector just below line of sight, can switch between mph/rpms/mpg at the push of a button so you don't have to keep looking down at the dash cluster. Eclipse EA3422 Amp & sub by Lighting Audio in trunk.
Appearance: Car has always been detailed with clay bar and Zaino yearly. Absolutely no leaks from convertible top anywhere. There is a pencil thin scratch on drivers side panel by gas cap with a small patch of clear coat coming off right behind the passage side door at the very bottom by the lower rocker, other than that there are no scratches, dents or swirl marks in the paint. The a/c blows cold and has been recharged. The stereo needs to by hooked up with the amp and sub, I just did not have the time to rewire for new head unit. Everything is electric including doors, top and windows. Never been wrecked or dented.
I am the third owner of this car, it originated in Los Angeles and was sold to a friend in Houston at approx 33,000 miles where eventually the modification work was done later on. All of us have garaged this car and only driven it for fun, not as a commute or racing car. Now that I have another Trans Am and motorcycle there just isn't any room for it and it needs to go to someone who will continue to enjoy it as a pleasure drive with a little punch.
The car is located in Redmond, WA and delivery can be arranged.

Very nice car, absolutely love the color. Unfortunately im not buying or else i'd be all over it... but I am looking for a stock vert top boot. I notice you have the tonneau covers and was wondering if you still have the stock plastic cover. If not, all good and free bump
