Default 2001 Trans Am 10 sec record holding drag/street car

car has stock bottom end and stock cylinder heads, burns no oil and is rediculously strong for what is has done, hence the reason it holds the record that it does. it can be a all out drag car or a street car, i have driven it on 2 trips that are over a hour each way. other than the bottom end nothing on the car is stock, has a pin on hood, every bolton, big cam, fresh 12bolt, new custom driveshaft, weld prostar rims, good tires, almost fresh proshifted tranny, new clutch, spec sfi bellhousing, kirkey prodrag seats, rci harness, line lock, hal shocks and springs, every bmr chasis and suspenison thing they sell, kmembers, drag sway bar, control arms, torque arm, sfc's, lower a-arms, pan hard, and more. relocatted battery in trunk, optima red top thats a month old, custom ram air setup, strange race brakes all around, custom portmatched 90mm FAST intake and TB, madman's SYA bars on the kemember(yes, i have stood the car on the bumper one time, it does not have traction problems, lol), paint is in awsome shape, the entire front end has fresh paint, i have the stock hood that also has fresh paint, and i have all the stock suspeionson, sway bars, kemembers and such, the car still has unbelieveable potential but i just dont have the time right now and i would like to pay off other bills at the moment, ive got tons of photos if i find someone interested and it has some track videos, some are still floating around on here im sure, im sure im leaveing off a ton of details, i have probably thousands of hours in the car in labor, i have done a majority of the work on the car myself and i helped with all the rest of whatever else was done, i have all reciepts of everything that is on this car, it is kept up very very well, run royal purple oils everywhere, they get changed very often, car drives great on the street but with the suspension in drag mode its a lil stiff, take the preload off the drag swaybar and move the lca's up a few holes and it rides great.

i paid 20k for the car a few years back with low miles on it, it only has 45k on it now i believe, i put 20k in parts on this car in the last 2 years, alot of it in the past few months and alot of it has been rebuilt as well recently, rear(axles and gears are new),tranny and such, so all in all i have well over 40k in just parts in the car, just to get rid of it fairly quickly id take 20k for it, you wont find a better tunned suspension setup car out there similar to this, 1.35 60' in a 442rwhp cam only motor is all in months of fine tuning

like i said i just dont have time for the car anymore and id like to start workin on my streetcruiser project ive never got around to

$20,000, but i will entertain reasonable offers or possilbe trades for another car

few pics, will have some non graphics pics and interior ones up later

Thats pretty impressive what is your best time in this car? I have a 98 with a stock motor no heads, cam or anything but ARP head bolts with a supercharger and I ran a 10.45 @130 w/ a 70 shot nitrous.

Never mind I see your time lol

i used to drive it every day for 5months 25miles one way to and from work in batonrouge rush hour traffic, the low gears made stop and go very easy even with the stage 4 clutch i have on it. the proshifted tranny isnt really that bad at all after you figure it out, but putting a oem one in the car is always a simple fix if you just want to keep this one for racing, i drive it tho. car does not die in stop and go traffic, i got it tuned that well as far drivability goes, it get occasional cam surge if you try an lug it way down, like 4th gear at 20mph or any hard load under 2000rpm it will occasionaly do it, however it has never done it in 6th gear on interstate doin 75 or so, only thing really different from them days is the strange race brakes, they get hot easier than factory ones, so alot of hard stoping might **** off the rotors a bit, i dont have to do a ton of back to back stoping where i live now, long as you driving a lil bit or your in really slow stop and go im sure your fine, just not sure how they would like interstate traffic where its constant 0mph to 30mph to 0 for 15-20min, cam is the thunder racing trex cam 242/248 approx.
