Default FS: 98 Firebird with new 408 and 629+RWHP - Make Offer

Anyone $16,000??

Hey Guys,
The baby has got to go. This has been a passion and project for over two years. She's finally done and the bills have mounted up and someone will benefit from my blood, sweat, and dollars. Over $45,000 invested. Here is a small list of her attributes. I'll be honest, she's in good shape but not perfect. Won't take much to put her in show condition but its time for her to go.

Dyno'd at 506rwhp/475rwtq on motor with 629rwhp/658rwtq with NOS.

Dark Blue T-Top car with tan interior.
6.0L Iron Block 409ci.
Bored .040 over with custom Diamond pistons.
C/R is 12.2 to one and runs great on pump gas.
Callies RaceMaster crank and matching LS specific rods.
Heads were prepared by CNC here in Florida with 2.055 intake/1.60 exhaust valves. Cometic gaskets with ARP studs.
FAST 90MM intake with Comtech 90MM T/B
Custom Comp Cam 250+/640+ grind
LS2 High Performance lifters and upgraded fuel rails
ATI Harmonic Balancer
42# injectors with the Holley 255 fuel pump.
Motor = $14,000

Kooks stainless 1-7/8 to 2" step headers with custom 3-1/2" collectors. = $1145
All run through a Mufflex 4" dual exit system = $1015
Fresh T56 with new clutch, scatter shield, and Hurst shifter = $1185
Only one of three LS1 cars with the FAST Electronics in the state = $3400
Tuned and installed by Hartline Performance. These electronics have endless possibilities if you know anything about the FAST system.
NOS plate system installed and sprayed on the dyno only for tuning = $965

Suspension has BMR relocation brackets, Trak Pak, Subframe connectors,Cromoly street adjustable rear control arms with poly bushings = $740
Wolfe adjustable welded rear sway bar = $400
Wolfe Cromoly 8 point cage welded in and painted black. Excellent job! = $925 = Labor
4.11 gears with stock rear end.
Stock brakes
Line lock with ABS delete.
Custom Holeshot rims front and rear:= $1415
Fronts are 16 x 4" with M/T 26-7.5
Rears are 16 x 8" with M/T 255-50-16 drag radials.
SLP Ram Air hood and box with custom stripes all the way down the car = $2200
Fuel pressure gage and tach with shift light mounted inside on the roll cage.
Air still in and she blows cold!

Just these big items total over $27,000 not counting the car.
My only point in adding up these major items is that if you plan to do these in the future to a less expensive car this is what you are looking at. It all adds up very fast as we all know.
I am sure there is more and I have pics when you want to see them.
Asking $20,000 out of this set up. Like I said there is over $45,000 invested in the last two years and is worth every penny of $20,000.

God Bless,
Keith

She is brand new. In fact I am still rerouting the nitrous lines so they look good. I didn't like the way the shop finished it off. I'm pretty **** about this kind of stuff as you can tell. I will have the new brackets and lines finished by the 4th ready for a new owner. At that point I'll have under hood pictures available. I painted the FAST intake black so it looks stock.
She should run high 10's all day long on motor and low 10's or high 9's on the juice. Thats exactly what I was building. A street car thats extremely fast if needed. The motor will easily take jets up to 700 RWHP on the spray. In fact I have the jets already. I will be at OSW next Wednesday if you want to watch the shake down runs.

God Bless,
Keith

PS: Ya'll have a great 4th weekend!! ><>

I just finished the nitrous set up tonight. I'll have new pictures tomorrow morning under the hood.

Added some roll cage pics.

Here are pics of the engine compartment. Notice there is NO MAFS. The FAST sytem doesn't use one. The nitrous bottle is hidden where the spare tire goes and the two solenoids are down low on the passenger side. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Update - First night at the track I took out the tranny. Been there ever since having the tranny rebuilt and beefed up along with a new clutch. Should make it more streetable.

Finally getting the car back out of the shop this week. I will make some maiden voyages down the track within the next week and will advise on track times when I have them.

Okay guys - I can't drive but the mph looks good.
Ran Sunday in Orlando with 90+ degree weather.
Two runs only ( there was a bazillion cars there and many break downs)

All motor pass - 1.9 60', 12.2 at 119.98mph.

Nitrous pass - 2.11 60', 11.7 at 126.97mph.

With some better 60's it will turn some good numbers!! I just can't drive a six speed as good as most yet.

Let me know if you are interested.

God Bless,
Keith

Mike,
This is a track car. It still has all the amenities like A/C etc. and full interior in it but the motor is a track motor and its loud. Very fun to drive but not an every day driver. It could very easily be a great car show piece along with a track car. Let me know if you need more information.

Hey Guys,
That sale didn't work out. Too much of a race car? Anyway, anyone else interested? Make reasonable offers.

This is primarily a track car. You can drive it on the street to car shows or special events like street kills (I did last weekend) but its not an everyday driver.

Thanks,
Keith

Hey Guys,
Just ordered the American Racing Rims Torque Thrust II wheels today. 17 x 11 with 315-35-17 Kuhmo V700 on the rear and 17 x 9-1/2" with 275-40-17 Kuhmo SPT on the front. Mine as well drive it and enjoy it until someone buys it.
The price will stay the same unless you want both sets of rims. I will sell it with either the custom Holeshots which include the tires or the new American Racing rims with the new tires. We'll negotiate both if you want them.

Ya'll are missing a beautiful car. May look into getting the drivers seat refinished and then she will be perfect. May not sell her then though.

God Bless,
Keith
