FS: 1997 Z28 Cheap $2500 OBO I will post some pics tomorrow. I am selling my 1997 Z28. It is Red with charcoal leather interior, A4, all options including traction control, power antenna, monsoon system, T-tops.... etc. Car currently has 102100 miles and runs great. The tranny shifts smooth, and everthing seems to be fine mechanically. I am the second owner, I bought the car in August of 2000 with 54k miles on it. I have used Mobil 1 10w-30 since owning the car. The car was supercharged for about 3k miles before the camshaft install. The blower was never reinstalled after the cam install and was later sold. The camshaft was installed at 88k miles and has ran well ever since. Car will come with a PCMforless OBDI tuned ECU and the stock ECU. The optispark was replaced at the same time as the camshaft install, as were the plug wires. The spark plugs were just replaced under 3k miles ago. The AC, power windows and heater work great. Car runs normally under 180 degrees since it has a 160 degree thermostat and the ECU is programmed to kick the fans on at around 180.
MODS: Comp Cams 218/230 114 LSA cam, CC 1.6 non-SA RR's, GM guideplates, CC hardened pushrods, ISKY valve springs, new GM valve seats and seals, ARP RR studs, LT4 extreme duty timing chain, MSD plug wires, NGK5 plugs, SLP shorty headers, Granetelli F&R sway bars, adjustable panhard rod, Eiback Pro-kit, PCMforless OBDI conversion, 2001 chrome 10 spoke SS rims with good tires.
THE BAD: Car has damage to the Front passenger side fender. Will need to be replaced. There is also damage to the hood and front fascia. I believe both of these can be saved but the fender will have to be replaced. There is also damage to the rear bumber from a hit and run accident at school. The power antenna no longer fully extends and the rear mid bass speakers are blown. Most people know these monsoon speakers suck. Also there is a slight exhaust leak on the passenger side header near the dip stick. The y-pipe needs to be dropped and then the bolt can be tightened, no big deal. The drivers side leather seat has signs of wear.
PRICE: $2500 OBO . I feel this is reasonable because if the car was simply parted out you could get this amount. The car is just paid off an the title is in the mail from my lender.
Car is located in Las Vegas, NV and is listed locally. Anyone in the area is free to contact me and come by to test drive the car.
