This makes me angry I have to think about selling it. My SUV has been for sale since March and it's still for sale. One of these payments has to go so I won't be in such a financial bind while I'm in college. Since the SUV hasn't sold, I MUST consider this. Now to the part you want to know...
1999 Pontiac Trans-Am Firehawk #58.
Black with grey leather
6 speed
T-Tops
Firehawk floor mats
Silver Firehawk wheels w/ Firehawk tires, tons of tread left
12 disc cd changer
Body has a little over 140k miles
Clean carfax report. Never wrecked. 3rd owner.
Mods:
Forged 347 built for turbo (8.7:1 CR).
16cc Mahle dished pistons
Eagle h beam rods
Comp lifters
Rollmaster timing chain
Ported oil pump
Upgraded bearings & gaskets
ARP bolts
Crane cam 220/224, .551/.551, 114
Precision dual springs
TSP push rods
5.7 heads with exhaust side ported
GM SS valves with valve job
Nearly new clutch by previous owner, less than 4k miles.
LS6 intake.
MSD 8.5 super conductor wires
NGK plugs
Hooker Super Comp long tube headers
3" ORY w/ bullet muffler dumped before axle waiting to be welded/bolted onto headers
We just finished up the motor install but have yet to drive the car since we can't get the master cylinder quick connect to snap into the slave cylinder. We however were able to start it up yesterday, I'll be posting a video of it soon. EDIT: fixed, see reply #16. The car will need to be tuned since the PCM is still based off stock. The only thing wrong with the car is when I tested the passenger window didn't go down and I was also told by previous owner 3rd gear was kinda hard to get into sometimes. From the way he talked sounds like it's a clutch hydraulic issue. May be fixed once we get the clutch bled & that quick connect in.
The hawk in great overall shape, excellent for a 1999 model. I was going to set this car up for a custom front mount turbo, but having to go full-time to part-time work and full-time student I no longer have the money to finish it nor make two car payments.

IF BUYER IS INTERESTED I HAVE A BRAND NEW W/ 1 YEAR WARRANTY GARRETT 76MM TURBO I'VE ACQUIRED THROUGH A TRADE. These go for $1200-$1500 new retail, but if buyer wants to continue with the turbo route I'll include that with a negotiable price. Once properly tuned with a single turbo you should be able to hit 520-550rwhp with this motor at 8lbs and probably over 600rwhp at 13lbs. The car would be sick and would be the only 3rd Firehawk I'm aware of turbo'd. Keep in mind you don't have to go forced induction (turbo/supercharger) if you get the car tuned right. Or if you wanted the missing 4% horsepower from stock compression you could swap pistons.
Price updated:
$9500 with turbocharger
$8500 without turbocharger
Or trade for cheaper f-body, GT or GTP + at least $4000 or $5000 to pay off the loan. Trade value of Firehawk will be $9,000 not $8,500
If you put $3000 extra into it, you could have a $12,500 investment for a turbo'd Firehawk. To complete the turbo all you would need is the hot & cold side pipes, couplers, intercooler, wastegate, bov, injectors, fuel pump, manifolds, gauges, and tune. $3000 should easily buy that. Or if you bought the car at $8500 without the turbo you could pick up a used Procharger on here for $3500 making a $12,000 investment in the car. Anyone would be crazy to pass up the opportunity to have a black 6 speed Procharged Firehawk for $12,000 + the tune.

^me too.
Price update. $8900 without the turbo. Arrrghh you guys don't know how much I really HATE to sell it for this much when I just dropped $3300 into it. IF ONLY financially I could keep it

why heck make it $8500 for the Firehawk. Add $1000 if you want the new turbocharger with it. I just quickly need to get rid of a car payment. Financial hardships are here.

^sounds good.
UPDATE: my brothers father-in-law, Roy (race car driver/mechanic) was able to get the hydraulic system connected. my brother drove it around in the yard today, so it is moving finally. he said it felt normal & not sluggish. but later he went to start it up and it didn't start (after we've started it a half dozen times). It'll turn over but not start. Roy thinks it's probably the crank sensor, maybe it came loose. So we're going to look at it tomorrow if it's not raining and drive it down the road to see how she performs.

okay, prolly doesn't help that your pcm is still factory tune.
is it throwing any codes at you? (check engine light, etc.)
the bank is suppose to call me within 24 hours to let me know about my loan options. Should be able to give you an answer on monday.
I'll keep ya posted

yeah it'll throw codes until it gets tuned. though I'm not sure which ones it will. we deleted the egr, and it'll throw something for the exhaust (two o2's aren't hooked up). check engine light is on.
