the car runs very strong for what it is, IMHO. I'm not a Honda guy at all, i just bought this for a DD for the MPG's. i drove it home from St. Joseph, MO to Joplin, MO on less than half a tank of fuel...when i filled it up from empty a couple days later, it took 9.5 gallons to fill it up. Mechanically i would say this car is a 9.9/10. nothing leaks, everything works as it should.
THE BAD:
this is, from what i can tell, a typical 'used' car. it has the usual $5-$10 problems throughout. I WILL BE FIXING EVERYTHING I CAN OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS. For instance:
dash vents are a little loose, could be replaced or fixed with double sided tape, i won't bother unless i find some for cheap to replace them with, it's not a real issue.
Power steering fluid mysteriously disappears. i believe i have traced the leak down to the rack now. i really don't want to mess with it, but i will if i have to.
A/C was removed at the time of the rebuild, so the car has no A/C. as far as i can tell, it just needs a compressor bolted up to the motor and it will have A/C again. I'm not going to fool with this because i don't ever use A/C.
ANYWAY, the car really is clean and runs strong. It has a clean and clear title, in my possession. If you're interested, but concerned about any issues, feel free to email or PM me. KBB Suggested retail is $7,675, NADA is $7,175. The car has issues, but they're all minor and i imagine i'll have most if not all fixed before i have a serious buyer. The car has many, MANY mods and drives great. I'm going to ask $7500 OBO, emphasis on the "OBO." Cash only please, i can't think of any trades i would be interested in, besides maybe a bone-stock '99/'00 Si or GSR integra. If my price seems unreasonable, consider what the car is, current/past/future gas prices, and ad up the mods. The rear coilovers alone are almost $900/pair and the turbo kit is $2K. Look up everything listed and ad the book value of the car to it, then subtract a few misc parts needed to make it perfect, and you should see my price is more than reasonable.
Like i said, feel free to email or PM any questions, concerns, or offers and i will respond accordingly. i'm sure i forgot something, i can be reached on here, or at benfreeman450@hotmail.com or benfreeman@vzw.blackberry.net
Thanks for looking,
Ben

Nope
i don't have any. i'd GUESS this car between 250-300whp...just an educated guess. it runs very strong...for a 1.6L 4cyl...to me...
like i said i'm not a Honda guy, but the car runs good.
Also, Odometer & Tripmeter are now fixed, OP will be edited to reflect that.

not really comparable. i believe this car would run side by side with a stock or light bolt-on LSx car, but not a H/C/I M6/9" car....the honda pulls HARD from 5K to 8K, but is pretty lackluster under 4K since it's a 1.6L 4 cyl....which is fine with me because i got for a DD to save on fuel. it's really fun to drive, but it has no off-the-line torque. if you launch softly it will spin the tires up through 3rd gear pretty easily.

let me say this: it's only running 7psi right now, i'm told STOCK bottem ended B16A2's can handle upwards of 16psi...and this one is all forged, so you could be making well over 400whp with this setup if you turned the boost up and it WOULD/should run with a H/C/I LSx car.

i agree totally, there are some real sleepers out there. this car though, i bought as is and i personally have never seen the engine apart, so i guess i don't actually KNOW it's forged. That's what the previous owner said, everything he said was correct, so i'm taking his word for it...but i'm also not messing with the boost. i MAY turn it up to 10-12psi just for fun, but i honestly doubt i'll touch it. i'm just going to fix the little loose ends and recoup my money to put towards something a little more...necessary. i'm sure this car would run mid-low 13's as is, or at least have the necessary MPH, it spins pretty good....

i've said over and over, and i'll say it again, i'm not a honda guy. i don't think that highly of this car, but everytime i drive it, it turns heads everywhere and ricers constantly stop me to check it out. for instance, i went to O'reilly's to get some turn signal bulbs, and when i cam out, there were 4 other rice rockets sitting outside waiting for me to "see the car they'd all heard about."

i thought it was all hilarious...but nonetheless, i'll stay pretty firm on the price. in fact, when i get a few other odds and ends fixed up, i'm going to stick it on a buddy's lot with $8500 on the window

i tried to install a new window regulator today, but i either was given the wrong part, or the wrong part was installed to begin with, or something is wrong with the track inside the door, so the driver's side window is on hold until a parts store opens...hopefully i'll have that resolved tomorrow.

I can be a witness to this car! Ben took me for a ride the day after he bought the car. I am an LS1 guy again now and have a SS LS1 project underway myself. But previous to the LS1..I was very big into Subaru's. I built an 04 STI that put down a little over 620awhp and is now running a solid 10.32 @ 132mph!!!! Street tires haha.
Anyway...Needless to say I know a little bit about the turbo world and the fun there is in it. I was given a ride first by wich I was extremely impressed! The power up top can be a little bit sneaky because of how turbo cars feel more like a jet takin off then a TQ monster. It felt very simliar to one of my previous setups in my first WRX wich was around 320AWDHP and ran 12.80's pretty steady!
Ben then let me drive the car and was pretty shocked I would say! Being in the other seat lets you really feel what the car has. I would say with the cars capabilties and mods that it could hold and run a steady DD 18psi with Zero issues and make upward of 400FWDHP! Throw a racegas tune on the hondata along with some serious boost 25psi+ and watch the dynograph fly and the QM time drop. Honda guys could tell you a lot of money has been dumped into this car for longevity but it has obviously been untouched with the current settings!
