Default GI/FT: 1994 Mustang GT (cobra clone) h/c/i s-trim

Hey,

Kinda kicking around offing this to get a WS6 m6 car or a M6 c5. I would obviously be coming up with $ on my end if needed, or straight up for the right car.

Car is high body miles at 182k, but pretty much everything is new including most of the paint. Interior is near perfect with very little wear shown. Most people think the car has 60k on it. Originally a TX car, then PA, then to OH where I purchased it dead stock over 3yrs ago. A/C is still ice cold, heat is a furnace and it is very calm to drive around town. Will get around 22ish or so on the highway.

The underside has been wire wheeled and chassis savered aswell.

I have a folder with EVERY reciept from this car totalling over $14k (stupid investment right? haha) But it takes $$ if you want something nice and done right.

Car is Vibrant red (1 of 2300) with black and grey cloth interior

Sumitumo HTRZII 275/40 and 285/35 tires

Prolly a few more things that I am forgetting, but that's the jist of it.

Car was dyno'd originally h/c/i at 175kish and did 296 rwhp 315 rwtq on a mustang dyno, tuned by Powerhouse Automotive

Car was dyno tuned at Street Lethal Performance with the vortech. Unfortunately I do not have finished #s as I lost the rear main seal and oiled the clutch on the dyno as they were sorting my spark issue (bad MSD coil). Taking the car to 4k RPM at 4psi the car was making 392HP and 387 tq with no timing added. Car get shifted at 6k at 11psi.

However the miles have caught up with it and I'm getting blowby (prolly contributed why I had lost the rear main). The car still makes power, but is obviously down some. You can mostly tell at the track as if it gets short shifted into 3rd it can be fluttery at only 4psi until it catches itself and you can smell oil at the end of a pull. The car will still pull on my brothers sprayed cobra (who trapped a best of 115) from a roll, but should be about 10mph minumum faster through the 1/4 (I was running a tractionless 109 in 90 degree heat only making like 5psi through most of 3rd last and only time out w/ the blower). Car should trap close to 120 just on a fresh 302/6.

Ordinarily (and I still just might) replace the bottom end and keep going. I have always wanted a WS6 ls1 or a vette and I couldve bought one outright with what I have invested. I kept going with the blower as it was very strong h/c/i and still had great compression of 170 in every cylinder. I want to go 331 but at these power levels I would be compromised on a stock block or stock style block as the car would make close to over over 500rwhp easily. I do not want to go to a bigger head along with the expense of an aftermarket block. Ive been entertaining a studded/girdled DSS replacement 331 wich would run me about $2500 or so. After just ivesting about 4k into the blower, changing the fuel system again, and having it tuned, I would rather take the loss and perhaps put the $ towards a different platform.

I really like the open roof thing and I dont get that with my mustang. Otherwise, I'd be dead set on a z06 and I'd skip the 'small stuff' t/a and standard c5s. I had my 95 and I think I drove it more in the summer just because. Obviously some guys love hardtops and mustangs, so I figured I'd throw these out there.

The car is really a 9/10 overall. It's damn nice and WILL NOT dissapoint. Even messed up I wanted to get 10 or as close to it or 15 fixed but the way things are nowadays everything is down a little. I'll try to get some newer interior shots and undercar. Some of these pics might be with the older lights but the car is unchanged otherwise. Car is located in NE, Ohio and is garaged constantly.

Thanks for looking.

Great looking car, you would not be interested in getting back into another LT1 again would you?

Love your formula man! It's always been my favorite one hands down. I don't know if I'd really want to get back into the lt1 game again though. My brother had a 99 z28 m6 the same time I had mine and I really enjoyed the refinement in all aspects. If you had even a stock black 99+ WS6 M6 car though, we'd definately be talking

Holy hell, it's my cars clone. All the same parts, down to the side scoops and S-trim. Only difference is I have the 96-98 Cobra rear and mine is black. Great looking car!

Thanks man! I think I might end up closing this and keeping it.

Ran my buddy's 11 sec 347 caged fox tonite and was within 1/2 -1 car through 4th gear from a 40 roll. With a fresh 331 this car would be a MONSTER.

Quick98: Thanks for the offer, car is GORGEOUS, but I think you'd prolly want like at least around 6kish on top of mine, and I guess I was more interested in a 'bolt on' ish car that wouldnt be a huge price thing unless I was stepping up to a vette. Wish you the best of luck with your sale as it is definately a REALLY nice car.

I never posted one as it was more of a FT thread. I had stated though:

Thanks! I made the unfortunate mistake of driving a camaro yesterday....I've got the bug back..

I can't believe I'm typing this; but as it seems to be with the market gone to hell, I think I'd take $8500 for it as it sat. FIRM.

Are you ******* kidding me?? I've had that car saved in my computer for ages because it's exactly what I'd like my old red one to look like one day. Simply put, one of my favorite SN95s out there. I'd be heading your way if I was in the market.

Good luck.

Yeah, IMO I think it's one of the cleanest, thought out sn95s out there and that's not just to toot my own horn. There's more agressive, but this has like a factory-cleanish look.

I got a kid chomping on the bit for 9k....and I'm super torn on whether to sell...spend more $ keep it and go real fast, or spend a teeny more and have a c5 that would be stock.

Frustrating....

I think you'll get the money you're looking for, but to some punk kid? I'd just be nervous about seeing it ragged out or in a ditch somewhere. A stock C5 wouldn't be nearly as fun, however, wouldn't take much to match that power.

Thing is, I wonder what the GT would do with a forged 347 or 331 and more boost.
