I’m selling my 1996 Grand Marquis LS because I’ve baught a new Toyota Corolla. This car is perfect for those looking to get a bigger car for a family or for somone looking to get a car for their son or daughter just starting to drive.
The car is in excellent condition. There are NO major flaws. There are some! I will be 100% honest with you on all issues I know are wrong with the car. Scroll down to see/read those. The AC/Heater works extremely well.
Things recently fixed/replaced:
1) Alternator
2) Head lights
3) Brakes
4) 02 Sensors
Upgraded items:
1) JVC/Kicker Sound system. Fronts are JVC speakers, rear are kicker. They are powered by a JVC amp and there is an Infinity 12’ subwoofer.
2) Tinted Windows
3) Trailer hitch and trailer light hookups (Pulls 5,500lbs). Comes with 1 ¾ inch ball.
Flaws:
1) There is a tape mark on the front passenger cross bar (see pic under FLAWS).
2) Seat belt knicks. On the seat belt there are little marks from the door hitting it.
3) Little scratches on the hood (see pic under FLAWS).
4) Rear windows need a new motor and/or switch. I didn’t find a reason to replace these.
The tires are Goodyear tires, that have about 10-13k miles on them. One of the 4 rims is missing the center cap. I couldn’t find one to replace it with when it fell off last winter.
History Of Marquis:
My father and I custom designed it back in early 1996. My dad drove the car untill 2000, when he got an Expedition. The car then was passed on to my mother who drove it till 2002, when I turned 16. Ever since then it has been my car.
The car has had oil changes every 2,500-2,750.
I got in 1 accident in this car August 06. The damage was on the rear passenger side and all repairs were done by Hubler Collision, of Indianapolis. You will get the repair papers with the car because it IS under warrenty if anything goes wrong with what repairs they did.
Motor: The motor is a 4.6 V8 motor. There are no known issues with the motor. Alternator was replaced last winter. The Check Engine light is on because of an O2 sensor that keeps tripping, it hasn’t hurt the gas mileage.
You will get about 16-18 MPG in the city and 20-24 highway. Knock about 2-5 off if pulling a trailor.
Transmission: Automatic *see above*
Exterior: Dark Green – front bumper and rear bumper replaced and painted by Hubler Collision in August 06.
Interior: Green Cloth
Stereo: Single CD changer, Siruis Satelite Ready, Audio Jack imput for MP3 (IPOD) players.
Powered options: POWER EVERYTHING!! Both driver and passenger seats are powered, all windows powered, locks powered. AC / HEAT both work great.
Keyless Entry w/ keypad and keychain.
Asking Price: $3,000 O.B.O.

You must drive the **** out of that thing.
I had a 95 and got nothing under 18 city, with a 2 mile drive to work(short drives kill mileage), might want to look into that....

Issue was due 02 sensor, has now been replaced. Mileage is now 16-18 on the average (car keeps track for you)
