My restoration project has changed, and rather than using parts of this super nice truck and parting the rest out, I’ve decided to sell it. I’ve owned it for 10 years and have progressively worked on a frame on restoration.
This is a great truck that is very reliable and a lot of time and care has been put into it. Would make a great daily driver (gets 18.5+ mpg), weekend cruiser and car show. I’ve won a few awards at shows with this truck. It fires right up and cruises down the highway at 60 with out a worry. I wish I could keep it, but space and money just won’t permit it.
Engine: 350 Tuned Port Injection from an 87 Camaro (roller lifters, MAF engine) It also has an airfoil, custom cold air intake, and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.
Exhaust: Dynomax JET HOT coated headers, 2 ½ inch pipes with 40 series Flowmasters
Transmission: 700R4. Professional High Performance rebuid when installed ~1500 miles ago. B&M megatruck shifter
Rearend: 12 bolt rearend with 3.73 gears and eaton limited slip differential (posi)
Cooling: New stock 4 core radiator (A/C rad.) and dual electric fans
Wheels and Tires: American Racing Torq Thrust 2 polished aluminum wheels, 17x8 with 275/50/17 Falken tires with about 4000 miles on them.
Interior: Buckets seat, black carpet, full Autometer Pro Comp Ultra Lite gauges, A/C controls (A/C isn’t actually installed) custom center console, Sony CD player with 10” JBL subwoofer.
Body: Professionally repainted in 1999, all of the emblem and trims is shaved, rear roll pan. Bed has a spray in bed liner.
Suspension: 2 ½ front drop / 4” rear drop. Front sway bar. Rear leaf springs. Rebuilt front suspension.
Other: Recently replaced the power steering gear box, it has a high torque mini starter on it, Painless Performance wiring harness (entire truck and TPI engine), powder coated front springs and upper A-arms. I’m sure there are more things on it that I’m forgetting.
