Pay $20, get the sheet, go to the tech area. Fill out the sheet as best you can (you can ignore the Soc. Sec. # line ), hand it to the tech guy. He asks questions, signs off on it, you take the paper to the little booth nearby and show them your license and fill out a form. They should give you a wrist strap too. Stay with or close to your car when you're waiting in line. People behind get kinda irked at the guy who abandons his car in front of them and the line moves without them. Pull up to the burnout box, get your rear wheels into the water channel. The guy in the center will guide you and tell you when to proceed. Then do a wicked burnout and pull forward (if you can!) to get the water off your tires. Continue forward to the tree. As you approach you will see the top two lights click on, when that happens - inch forward until both the top two and the two underneath it are lit, then you wait for the other guy to do the same if he hasn't already. Pretty much as soon as you see the third yellow light (from the top) click on, get your foot off the brake and go for it, cause usually by the time your brain sees Green and tells you to GO it is too late and you have a nice 1.53 reaction time. After your run turn into the first turnout on the right (if you have time to brake.. you should) then continue back, be sure to pick up your timeslip from the guy at the fence, then proceed back to the line where you will wait for maybe an hour to run.
Oh and if you run too fast for the safety equipment you have, they can make you stop racing.

There is no way of getting around the water box unless he is slacking on his duties of spraying water in there.. Or your on a bike. Just spin what little water you get on your tires off.. dont hang in the box.. Im guessing the 7.8 was not with slicks...
