Default Ahhh retardation is strong with this one

So I know what these bastard child mid 70's camaros are worth... this guy is out of his mind and dumb as bricks.

http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv...083096238.html

I am half tempted to email the guy... but he has a right to try and sell it for that much, I feel sorry for whoever buys it, obviously a maaco paint job, the trunk needs replacing, has to get new weather stripping there in the trunk, plus they cut the fender wells oout up front. You can't charge more for mods done to these years they are the least sought after, or one of the least sought after.

Come on Luke you know it is my favorite years of camaro too we have discussed this, I loved my 76 and hated selling it. But to a majority of the camaro world when I owned it it was referred to as the bastard child.

Bry if you paid that much then yes you paid too much, you can find one for 5 grand in better condition and same work done.

Have fun getting it smogged... I had a '77 that I paid $400 for. I took a lot of parts and sold it for a race car for $250. There was no way I was gonna redo a car with a 145 HP V8 to pass smog.

Hahaha those are easy to find ways around smog, I am wanting a 74-75 so i don't have to worry, but I still have time before i can actually get one. I would prefer to have my own house at that point.

Yeah but thats the least expensive part, carpet is like $300, upholstery for the seats is like $300 headliner is like $150 or so, he probably spent $1300 total if he did it himself. I know i had to do the whole interior on mine, priced out was like $1500 cause the plastic that they put behind the seats and the sail panels in the back needed to be replaced along with the panel for the speakers in the rear and everything inside.

There is a black on in the inland empire for half the price, these cars don't sell for that much, only guys who think they might get it sell it for that much, I don't know if anyone actually buys them at that price though, heck there are ones that have a straigh body need some work for $1500. I dunno this guy is one lucky SOB if he gets that for it.

they are the same block different strokes.... as far as i knew. the 327, 350, and 400 were the same block just a different stroke. I could be wrong and my brain might be bad (has been happening a lot lately).

Limited slip diff, but that is not a handling car so a LSD is kinda stupid to have, he should have a full locking diff.

No the one in the movie I wouldn't pay more than $2,000 for.

I don't know $6,000 is a bit much for the condition it is in, pretty much it looks like he painted over crap with crap paint and is trying to sell it for more, I would give him $4,000 for the car at most. Hell I sold mine needing body work and shifting the sub frame to line up with the frame rails. engine was rebuilt 350 C.I stock th 275 (i think) tranny, crappy interior for $350. Now that car is worth $700.

I dunno I just notice the little things with that camaro, it is not worth $11,000 by a long shot.
