Default 100 Octane is street legal, for those wondering

I just wanted to clear this up since Ive have a few people ask me. 100 octane race fuel is street legal. You can get it from Cosby Oil in Santa Fe Springs. Keep in mind that it cost a little more than 110 octane since it carries road taxes being street legal. To me this is a moot point since a car needing this more than likely isnt street legal anyway but just in case. Here's the link:

Next, Deputy Dan of the CHP will be sticking his dick in your gas tank to see if the fuel is street legal.

"yup, that burns, must be illegal"

LOL, maybe who knows, they smell that stuff and know your cars's not legal. I just posted this cause I had a couple guys argue with me that 100octane was not street legal. I dont even see the point of arguing this but here it is.

Too bad you have to use more ethanol than gasoline to get the same combustion rate. Like 33% more, so even though its cheaper you use more so it adds up to the same amount as gas. Plus it will eat up your fuel system if its not compatible or your car will run lean if you dont tune the fuel system. Everything has pros and cons.

E85 smells sooo better =P

Yea, Ive got my car tuned to run 40% extra fuel. I already had 60 lb injectors which were to big and the walbro pump - so I had an under utilized fuel system.

If the fuel is 40% more in volume use, but is 50% cheaper, then Im saving money, I only use about 20 % more when lean cruising. You make more power with E85 , and the car runs cooler- 2 things I cant do with 100- and e85 is 105 + - so...

Tell your idiot friends that if it was not street legal, it could not be sold from a pump alongside regular gas.
