2 questions (I hope you dont mind):
1) If, in the future, I want to upgrade my master, do I have to take the tranny out again?
2) Where can I get this shim at?
Thanks!!
Sid.

to upgrade the master, you do not have to drop the tranny again.
just remove the master clyinder line that goes into the slave and replace it with the new piece. and bleed again.(and adjust if you get an adjustable unit.)
as for the second question, i have no idea. summit maybe?

I have read on several occasion to steer clear from SPEC clutches, although I do not have any personal experience with them.
LS7 clutch kit, for $460, comes with the flywheel as stated above, which pretty much eliminate $100 for the need to resurface and rebalance my old flywheel.
So far, the clutch job project will cost close to $650 and that is without labor since I am planning to do this project my self.

Hit me up when you do this swap if you don't mind. Want to watch and learn, I'm in West Covina too. Was in the process of doing it to my car, have the tranny out, but I kinda got sidetracked and bought a 58" 3d plasma last week before ordering the car parts lol.

Use a new slave and get a remote bleeder if you can. It took me a weekend to do this by myself with no lift. I was happy with the LS7 kit on my stock 02 Z28...
You will need a long maybe 3' or more socket extension for one of the bolts.
I had a hard time just unhooking all of the electrical connections as each one released differently. After doing it once I could probably do it in one day now but it was no walk in the park.

But seriously though, 3', i thought i saw 3". I need to look for and buy that extension then.
EDIT: nevermind, I'll just use a 3 6" extension, hell 4 6" if i have too. I am pretty sure I already have at least 3.

Thanks Ryne, I dont think I can squeeze another $300 for tick master out of my budget at the moment, although in the future, I will be doing so.
