Anyone Interested in a Poker run In Northern Cali?
So we are considering putting together "NorCal LSX's First Annual Poker Run" We are looking to see how much interest there is out there before we start to lock in a date and completely plan it out. Just want to make sure there is enough people to make it work.
Just to clarify what poker run/cruise is:
I didn't know myself until I was talking to other members of our club.
So basically, there is a buy in (yet to be determined)
we use one of our preplanned cruise routes.
along the cruise there will be 5 stops (or start and end could count as a stop)
at each stop each car gets one playing card (like a deck of poker cards)
at the final stop, the car with the best 5 card hand wins the grand prize.
the final stop will also be a bar b q.
Sounds like it should be a pretty fun gig if we get it to work. It would more than likely be a 10 o' clock meet and a 1 o' clock bar b que type of deal.
Anyone interested if i can make this work?
Anyone and everyone would be invited, would prefer it be GM performance vehicles only, but I think we are making it just muscle cars in general.

Honestly, I've been thinking about getting one of these together too. Although, I've just never got around to it yet. I'm definitely in. Depending on how big you want this I would think about expanding it to automotive enthusiasts in general. There are a lot of GM guys in Nor Cal but there are a lot more enthusiasts in general.

I am thinking it will run HWY 1. both directions make for a fun drive, so don't know if we would run it North or south, from say San Rafael/San Francisco area.
I am about to go to Hawaii for a 1 year memorial, so i am just tossing the idea out there for now, but thinking about doing this towards the end of June.
I do plan on hitting up the Mustang forums for sure if we don't get alot of interest from the Gm guys and gals.
We still have alot of details to work out, but alot of that depends on how many cars we get to commit.
I think it would be fun, we have never thrown one, and I have never participated in one, of course, I would probably have to work a card stop anyways, not like i get to play, LOL.
