Default Advise: need to get my 02 Camaro tuned this week need input please

Hey all:

I had my car tuned a few months ago by Jeff Creech and it is running very strong.

I am adding a NX wet system this weekened and will be running a 75 shot.

So I think it would be best to take it and have it retuned just to be safe.

I cant wait for Jeff to come back out in feb to retune it.

I need a very reptuable shop that is great with LS1 cars and also ones with stall's.

Input plaese. I need to have it done this week by Wednesday latest.

Also I am in So California in the Hemet area

Thanks

Give Rob over at Strictly Performance a call. He has done some awesome work/tuning with my car. He is in Van Nuys though, not sure if that would be too far for you to drive.

You could try Vangordon & Brown. I've heard nothing but good stuff about them. They're in Claremont.

75 wet isn't going to hurt anything, even if you just run it as is. If you run a bigger shot, like 150 wet, just run the bottle pressure a little lower than normal, that'll richen it up a tad

<~~ ran tons of nitrous before LS1s had tuning

I've always been confident in Race-prep and been more than satisfied with their service... may be a drive but I make the 1.5 hr drive from Anaheim whenever I need some work done... haven't heard anything bad about A&A but can't vouch for them personally.

I heard that Race-prep charges $800.00 for a tune. I think that is way to high.

Contact them again. Quote I got for tuning on a H/C/bolt-on set-up was $600.

Whoever told you that is full of it. They charge half that - for just bolt on tune - for your nitrous tune should be no higher. Let Bryan know Ryan set ya if you do decide to go there. They'll take good care of you.

Did you tell them the H/C/etc was already dialed in and all you needed was to dial it in for Nitrous?

Full tune eh? So just adjusting a tune for Nitruous is a full tune?

All over their dick? Reccomending them because they did a good job getting my engine running how it should (it was all fvcked up from the last owner) and add a few parts, dial them in well, as well as being professional and curtious the whole time is being all over their dicks huh? Wow... you really are a sad man.

You don't comprehend very well do you. It was an example. $600 for a full on dyno tune. Did you forget your reading glasses? Whos to say they're going to charge $600 to tweak the tuning for nitrous? Btw, you dont need tuning for nitrous especially if its such a small amount (i.e. 75 shot). You also have a stock motor. I'm sure the tuning you paid for didnt make all the difference in the world. I dont know, maybe their tuning got you out of the 14's.
