i have a buddy that tunes with HP tuning in cali, does it for cheap too, i think he does it for 50.00 bucks, but it has to be a 98 ls1 vehicle, so it works in your case. Send me a PM if your interested in getting a tune. anybody else interested in a good tune, go ahead and PM as well.

Remember you get what you pay for. Who wants a leaned out car, or car that runs rich. Make sure your tuner knows what he/she is doing. You may end up toasting your motor, and thats not worth it.

i assure you all that the man that tunes ls1 vehicles knows his ****. He puts together ls1's and takes them apart as well. He is a computer engineer. just trying to help out other fellow members, i guess by my friend charging 200.00 per tune i suppose you'll get a better tune, becuase you paid more, and that will satisfy your close minded logic of thinking when it comes to getting a deal from a fellow member, so make the price 200.00 now, so people will stop saying you get what you pay for..... jk.. its still 50.00.... sometimes you do get what you pay for, but cmon, its an overuse cliche, and it doesnt apply to this situation.

Yeah no doubt, I was just pointing out whats been happening to me, nothing against your friend. I had a friend do some work, and I'm lucky that my car is still in one piece, and of course it had a new tranny installed, and the K-member bolts fell out. I wish I would have just paid and it would have saved me a gang load of cash. Again nothing against your friend, just bad experiences for me.

I would say I agree with both parties. Sometimes when you work alone with no overhead, I can see how its easy to charge less for the simple things. And when your shop is more, then you have to charge more as well. I have been on both sides.

I would say dont look for cheap, just look for understanding. If the guy who does your programming has a great understanding of what he is doing, then the amount should not matter. Shift points can be tricky, but when done right, your car will drive awsome. So like I said, give those a chance if you feel comfortable with them no matter how cheap or exspensive they might be.

yea, A&A corvette do good work, my neigbor with an ls2 vette went there for a supercharger, cam, tune, z06 fenders, z06 wheels and hood , and he now has my friend who charges 50.00 for tuning to tune his vette instead of driving to oxnard.
