whats wrong with it? they say it has 300hp which is obviously not getting to the wheels, and the ricers go around saying their wrx/350z has 300hp then they go run a high 14 and hang with 98 mustang GT's.

We're fortunate to have a car that is on the high side of things, however, think about C5 corvettes??? Are they a POS because they don't make 350whp??? No, and people think they are faster than Fbodies because of the rating...
I understand what you mean though, just let them have their factory rating, and leave the arguing to the timeslip...
Just some tidbits to think about before I go...
C5 Z06- could only dream of making 405whp...They were mostly 330-365whp cars...
C6 Z06- 500hp??? NO...Most tend to go between 430-460...
But still the ignorant people will argue their factory ratings to the death...Who cares, it's not only imports who do it, 99% of people go by it though...

ya there has been 2 stillen s/c installs ive seen so far... pretty nice kit, but not for what the dealer charges out the door... something along the lines of 8k.
i wonder if all these srt4's roaming around are still warranteed, like if they follow the mopar stages

i think with the SRT's if they can prove you were driving it unresponsibly like racing or something they wont cover it.....thats what they did to my friend

but just the word 350z reminds me of that, because i hear it all day long from stupid coworkers who think because it has 6 gears, 2 seats, and has the letter "z" in it means its a supercar that can beat anything.
i think the wrx and 350z are the most overrated/praised car by the dumb ricer crowds. oh that and the skyline, which is an ok car, besides the fact that they keep making them with the steering wheels on the wrong side... atleast it has decent power and AWD, like an evo.

ya the rb26dett was a very good motor, along with many nissan motors, sr series, rb series... that and toyota, 2jz, 1jz, but i think the 3sgte was the best.
but if i could have a skyline, i think i'd go with a R33 over the R34, just something about the r33 thats not there with the 34

8,000$ labor is BS...Do you realize that is 94+ hours of work @ 85$ an hour???
I say it paid 12 hours tops...An engine R&R usually only pays 10 hours, installing a bolton will never pay that much
