that is true, our cars hate the heat just like any other car and it definately hurts our performance

and Bretts car would outlast a 1973 Ford F100 in the heat, so what's the point???

I think my mind is made up on the Lexus though...I want to get out of the modding game for a while, and just save my money...I know my payments are going to go up to around 700$ a month, less on a lease though...

I can just drive around in an awesome all around car...Thing is in the 13.6 range, has more luxury items than i would ever need, and I fit in it very well...

Air conditioned seats are cool, although you won't feel much until you get naked....Air conditioning period is cool...

Plus I won't have to spend the 600$ for a clutch, 1200$ to complete the TA the way I want, 2200$ rear, 500$ AC...Who knows what's going to happen with all the oil consumption...it just all adds up

700$ a month??? Are you serious? Average car payments come in around 450-550$ a month, I see it everyday...

The car is the new IS350, I just did an estimate on one costing 47,590$ and it brought me to 701$ a month on a short term lease...I can afford a 1000$ a month payment no problem, but i'd like to be at or under 700$ Now most likely I'll roll over around 6,000$ of inequity, give or take a few thousand...Then I'll see if they will go as low to invoice as possible...Should roll out of there at around 45,000$ or so and a 650$ monthly payment...Thank god for the 850 Fico credit score though

I got in it tonight and started it up. With no ac on or anything after it is warm, it will barely want to idle, And then when i went to drive home from work it wont reach rpms past 2grand if i get into it a little it will bog and jerk back. I can barely touch the gas for it to keep going forward. it has no power once i give it gas... misfire maybe... fouled plugs.? i dont know here is a pic of the first plug i just pulled

are you running low on gas? maybe your fuel system is acting up, when my pump burnt out it idled kinda rough and if i hit the gas alittle it would bog down

turn the key to the on position and make sure your pump is working, then if you have a fuel pressure gauge hook it up to your fuel rail in the engine bay and make sure your getting fuel, if you dont have a guage, just twist the cap and make sure fuel squirts out, then check all your plugs/wires, if your getting fuel and spark check your intake, is the connector corroded or not making contact on the MAF?

mine lasted 98k miles, but i tried going as far as i could on E, and the pump relies on fuel to keep it cool, without being submerged in fuel it overheats and dies.

i dont think its the fuel pump, because your car wouldnt have even been able to run for that long, maybe something is clogging your fuel system, maybe your fuel filter has taken its toll and causing resistance

BTW, those plugs with the 4 prongs are said to be bad for LS1's, when you do a plug change, go with the NGK TR55's
