Well, I no longer have a 2nd gear, so I guess it is time for a rebuild. Any one have any good recommendations? It needs to be able to hold up to 600rwhp.

The 60e is not reliable at that power range. I had mine in and out five times in a year. If you are making that much power it is time to look into a different transmission. The lighter the car the longer the trans will last. I had to swap to a 4L80e to get away from the every other month transmission failure. The gm crate would be great if they would warranty it, but no dealer is going to fix a part under warranty on a highly modded car. Not unless you have a hook up at the dealer.

yeah RPM is one I would check out also.
RPM, Rossler, FLP, performabuilt (newer) companies i havnt really seen any complaining with and seem to deliver awesome products. RPM/Rossler only ones doing transbrakes on 60's

hahaha.
If a 4l80e fit easier, didn't require so much extra cost plus added weight, I probably would have went that route.
th400 w/brake only set me back maybe 1700 for EVERYTHING (stall, driveshaft, tranny, misc) but i did the work myself too...
