Here in cali you can go to traffic school 3 times within the span of the 16 month reset time, im going to traffic school for the third time. Just have to go to court and ask really nicely to the judge usually goes with it, just incase you actually lose ur case. i was going 110 on the 210 fwy from a race with a stang but he got cought in traffic and the cop only saw me, atleast i didnt get a racing ticket, i herd those are harder to fight, cop wrote me down at 91 cuz he had clocked me while i was slowing down. either way i havent had insurance going up so im ok with it.

 

How did he get you on radar? Was he in a parked unit, standing on the side of the road, airplane or on the freeway behind you? I'm just wondering, because I drive this stretch a lot.

I have a question. Does anyone know if you can track a radar to a specific vehicle? My 12/24/08 ticket was because I passed a jack hole towing a u-haul trailer in the fast lane on the 210. as I passed him, I see a parked CHP on the side of the road and immediately hit the brakes and shift into 3rd. I come up to him doing 63 or so.

He gets on the fwy gets behind me and pulls me over. As he's writing the ticket a Sheriff SUV pulls up and they start talking. He comes back hands me the ticket and tells me that most CHP units have dual (front and rear facing?) radar units onboard these days and that he hopes I dont plan on fighting the ticket.

THe ticket lists the radar unit. I have a feeling that its BS. I think if I did get nabbed somehow on radar it was by the SUV. He didnt write down the other officers info on the ticket. If one officer witnesses and another writes the tickets (tag team radar, ariel units, non patrol officer and a ticket writer) he must list the other officer as the witnessing officer and he/she writing the ticket as the arresting officers (even if you are not getting arrested). I beat a ticket like this before (cop didnt write down the other officer) and plan to again, if I could only find out what type of car that radar unit belongs to, or if they actually have rear facing radar guns in cruisers.
