Default Anyone have True Duals in socal??

I am really close to getting this for my car... the only thing is that i don't want to get pulled over and have them make me take them off!! i might even put fake tips... anyone have them in socal? gotten pulled over??

i dont have TDs but i do just run about 3 feet of piping off of each header dumped... looks alot like that SS u posted the picture of and ive never been hassled for it

ya looks pretty mean, but im thinking its hanging down a little to low, and if u get it done coat the system black so it doesn't stand out as much. Cuz if a cop knows anything about F-Body cars, hes gonna know thats not how it left the factory.

SIK02SS is on ls1.com and has true duals going out to his cme. ill try and get soem pics for ya. he is in thousand oaks and exhaust shop did it for him.

he has pasesetter lt's then true duals all the way back. cost 800 and man the clearance looks amazing!!!

i think i can get away with it if i had center fake tips to hide the dumps lol but i think it would be too hard to hide the loudness! HAHAHAHA

I've been running my loud dumped exhaust out here for about 1 1/2 yrs now with cops behind me several times, have not got pulled over yet - knock on wood -

im gonna be running the TSP TDs with dynomax bullets sooner or later. then weld on some single chambers dumped or under the axle out the back.

I have LT's, ORY, and a weird catback. I broke the SLP resonator muffler so it's just a straight pipe instead of the muffler.

It's loud and I've been pulled over a lot, but I started driving like a normal person and haven't been pulled over in a while.

Keep it in low RPM's around cops and it shouldn't be an issue.

i love the looks of 2 mufflers hanging before the rear end. looks like the car has a set of $140/pair nuts!

haha... does anybody have the " 'round about estimate' " of what it would cost to get TD's, including install, and mufflers??

Just get the texas speed ones. Thats what i have. Found mine used for about 250 shipped.

hmm.. what about ground clearance? where are the mufflers in comparison to how low the Y pipe hangs??

You have to mess with them for awhile, but theyre about the same as a Y pipe. Im lowered and I scrape mine sometimes. But being lowered you hit the Y pipes too. I dont really care about scraping. Its mostly just large speedbumps and hard angled driveways

But I see you have mid lengths...which means that your only choice is going to be customs I think.

If you are willing to drive, there is a really good exhaust fab shop in San Bernardino. They are the only people I would ever trust with my car

not for now, ill be going back to iraq in february.. only thing ima do to my car before i leave is tint and lower it.. heads, cam, dyno tune when i get back
