Default How many running longtubes in CA?

Hey guys...I am about to order all of my parts for my head/cam swap in my 01 WS6 and included in that parts are QTP longtubes and a custom true dual exhaust. Is anyone running this setup or even just longtubes and if so how much trouble have you had with law enforcement and do you regret getting the LTs.

I dont think I will have too much trouble as long as im not revving all the time. Car is an M6 and cam is on the small side.

Thanks for the input!

i don't think you have to worry about the LTs... i think you would have to worry about that cam... thats if you get a pretty big cam!

i guess it depends where u live and how bad street racing is there. u should ask ur friends with modded cars how often the cops in ur neighborhood bother them if not often ur good to go. IF ur friends always bitchin about cops then i d prolly not do it.

Streetracing is a problem around here but cops only really go after ricers(I know its sweet), unfortunatly all of my friends are broke and drive boring cars so they do me no good...except that my best friend is a cop and tells other officers not to pull my car over...

Yep...going TDs out the back and mufflers mounted in the rear so they are easy to change out for quiter ones if needed.

I have a new pair of qtp LT's that im about to install, I have an slp dual/dual catback already , thats super quiet . Im also adding an electric cutout so whenever i wanna rip it and be loud(track) i can.....So I dont have to worry about being 2 loud all the time. Until I get my custom grind cam

Just use common sense dont rev all the time and dont floor it all the time.

i have kooks and tsp true duals and they are cracking down around here with the street racing, and my car is a dd. I havent gotten pulled over yet, and ive had em on for about 6 months now. just dont be dumb and you should be alright, the only thing you have to worry about are the cops that you wont see, but will hear you coming. use smart judgement and your fine
