As far as emissions go, here's my rundown: !Cats, !A.I.R., !EGR, LTs w/a bullet dumped before the rear axle. And she passed. No sniffer and as long as you dont have more than 2 not-readys you'll be fine.

If you need help with the smog and knowing if your car will pass or fail, hit me up when you are going to be in vegas and I can check your car and let you know.

Cats are apart of the Visual inspection, so yes they are required.

ok so visual is the same in cali and nevada? and sorry i dont mean to ask the same questions but is there any difference between smog tests? Chocolate said there is no sniffer so do they just plug into the obdii and run for codes?

Yep, just a plug-in to check for codes. I believe if you go to the DMV for a smog check they will check for cats, so dont go there. My current and previous LS1 Camaros dont have cats and I never needed a visual inspection. If you're really paranoid about it just hollow out your current cats.

That's what I was also worried about - that they would check for cats. Can any smog shop check u the first time or do u have to go to the DMV? From what I heard on a Vegas Fbody forum, they only check to make sure all numbers are matching to transfer registration but another member also said they check for cats? Confusing... which is why I haven't transfered registration to NV as of yet. Keep us updated, bro.

I last used Jiffy Smog by Windmill and Eastern (which might be pretty close to where you'll be) but just do a search for smog places, it really doesnt matter.

It's not as bad here in vegas as some may think. If you are from out of state you will need to get an VIN inspection as well when you go to register your car,it is free but time consuming....
