Need your guys help!! Want your opinion on who would win a 1/4 mile drag. My Sgt. at work wants to race me at the local dragstrip. Its all in fun. But hell a little $$ on it wouldn't hurt. But before I get too crazy a little cheating wont hurt.
He owns a 2008 Roush Mustang 4.6L Supercharged. All stock. He states it rated at a little over 500HP, but he wasn't for sure. What are his real real #'s?
Me a 1999 C5 MN6 Vert. last dyno was 421RWHP and 396RWHP. This was taken before the install of the 3:90's. So I would assume I'm a little lower on HP. My car has AR LT's with cats, FAST 92, LS2 TB, 224/228 114LSA+2, LS6 heads that were CNC'd, and just installed 3:90's last week. Never tracked her so I have no idea what my vette will do!
So which one would you put your $$$ on?

My money is on the vette. Roush rates everything at the crank. So he's only making slightly more power than you at the wheels, but with alot more weight. Also he might not actually have the 500 horse model. However you both need drag radials to get the most from your cars

The highest hp Roush is 435, rated at the crank, with the exception of the limited edition P-51A (510hp).

If it's the 428R then it has 435hp/400tq claimed by Roush. Of course to the pavement it's a different story. Ran a search on the 427KR Track Pack and it's rated at the same hp/tq with some variations on suspension and handling- again the hp/tq is at the crank. Like Bry mentioned, these are the highest hp numbers from Roush this year, with the exception of that limited edition one. These cars do weigh tremendously more than yours as well... I think you can take him for sure.

If it's the 428R then it has 430hp/400tq claimed by Roush. Of course to the pavement it's a different story. Ran a search on the 427KR Track Pack then and it's rated at the same hp/tq with some variations on suspension and handling- again the hp/tq is according to Roush.
