Fair price for 1999 blue-green chameleon Firebird Formula with 85k?
Hey guys, Im looking for honest opinions for what I could look to get for this car if I was patient and not in a rush to sell.
1999 Firebird Formula
85k
a4
blue-green chameleon (rarer color, i've been told)
cloth seats
stock, other than chrome torque thrust wheels and flowmaster cat-back.
t-tops
2.73 rear
abs,tcs
clean title and carfax, and it definitely shows that it was well cared for by previous owners
great condition, needs nothing other than very small places needing touch up paint (small chips, and i have the paint pen on the way, so i'll have it 100% hopefully)
has a crack in the dash pad, like many do, but i am replacing it, just so the interior is perfect.
aftermarket cd player with aux
Runs good, sounds good, ZERO issues, completely unmolested.
(may need a change in tint) haha, it had mirror tint when I got it
If you are familiar with this color, than you may already know, but pictures don't really do the paint justice. It really is a true color-change paintjob from the factory, and it looks downright awesome in the sun. blue, teal, purple, green, and pink all at once.
Being a cloth interior, formula, with this paint, a4, 2.73, tcs, yadda yadda, it may end up being a rare set of options? I'm not sure, or sure that it even matters.
What could I expect to get for it?

I paid 5500 for this car on stock wheels and hood, it has 77k miles and full exhaust, perfect interior. Honestly I'd say somewhere in the 5-8k range in my area is what it would sell for. It does have lowish miles and a Good color is price it high and just see what is offered. Someone wanting that color might surprise you

Ask $9995 and take no less than $8000.. Although it's a clean car Formulas are less desirable than Trans Ams.. If it were a Trans Am then I'd add another $5,000 to the suggested price..

This is overly ambitious, considering his car has already been for sale for under $8k for quite some time in the classifieds and hasn't yet sold. No point in raising the price when it's not selling at the current price:

I think this quote below is more in line with reality:
To the OP, as I said back in the summer, I would've already checked your car out in person if you weren't so far away. It would make a great summer daily driver and I love the color. Unfortunately, auto trans Formulas don't bring much money as everybody seems to want a TA and an M6. Having said that, *I* would much rather have the auto and the Formula, but I am vastly in the minority....and much too far away to be a serious buyer.

I bought a 1999 Formula for $7k a few years back with 99k miles on it. It was a pristine car in black with a lot of money in mods thrown at it, but I'm sure your particular color adds a premium as well. I would start around $10k as said before, start high and leave yourself some room to work. Prices do seem to have come down though, so I would expect closer to 7-8k realistically - I bought a 2002 TA M6 that needs some paint work for $3900 a couple of weeks ago.

Before I saw the ad price I would have figured $6K to $7K. An M6 could have added another $1K. Even if it were a Trans Am that would only ad another $1K or so imo.

I bought my 99 Trans Am for $7500 and I should have negotiated for $7,000 but I was too excited and just wanted to get it so I didn't bother. It had a rear main seal leak, burnt clutch, bad Clutch master cylinder, and V6 wheels on it instead of the factory WS.6 wheels because the idiotic owner sold the factory wheels for cash. BUT the body and interior were very clean except for the cracked dash.
The picture with the white wheels is when I bought it.
The picture with the black wheels is after I cleaned it up and fixed the faults.
