Default will 315/35/17 BF tires fit on 17x9.5 wheels?

will go on a 96 Camaro, will these tires fit a 17x9.5 with no problem? If so any other mods needed? Spacers ? Wasn't sure as other people told me I must have at least 17x10 or 17x10.5 to fit and don't know if that's true.

Any help will be greatly appreciated as I'm going to by the wheels only after making sure the tires will fit on them and they only offer then in 17x9.5

Thanks guys and happy thanksgiving.

. . . . the rim is too small to safely fit that size tire. You need a 17x11 to safely fit it. I'd go with a 275/40/17

omg people that try this have to be complete idiots with the tire buldging over the side of the little *** rim. please be safe and buy a 10.5-12in rim if your wanting that wide of a tire...
