Default Centerline Convo Pros on my 25th Trans Am 'vert...

Here is my TA with Centerline Convo Pro wheels, 15x7.5 in back with a 5" offset, and 15x4 in front with a 1.75" offset. 275/50/15 Nitto 555R's and 165R/15's.

Had to have my little helper hold the lug nuts while I put the wheels on. She's gonna be daddy's little car nut.

Time to go test the tires out now

So what set number of wheels are we on now? :p

Not bad looking, although sure liked your previous "pimp" wheels.

I like the look of the wheels, but would not want the skiny on the front for daily use. Would the 15x8 with 5" backspacing work on the front and not stick out?

Could I convince you to put the rear on the front and take a pic?

15x8s will not fit up front, the 15x4s are as wide as you can go without hitting the brake calipers up there. The rear calipers are much smaller, especially on LT1 f-bodies.

Hmmm... I like the look of the 15" wheels but 15x4 is too small of a width for the street. Could I use a 15x6? Or will that still get in the way of the calipers. Most 15x6 seem to only come in a 3.5" offset. Would this work?

Why do you say that?? I have driven mine on some twisty roads around here and believe it or not, the handling still feels great. I am not out canyon carving, but I can't tell the fronts are skinny when I'm driving normally. I have found quite a few people that run 15x3.5 Welds and even these 15x4 Centerline's on daily driver cars.

I daily-drove my Formula with Weld Draglites (15x3.5s front, 15x8s rear) for over a year. It was my only vehicle at the time, and I didn't have any problems with it. If you drive on the streets like a "normal" car and not try to haul *** like a madman on the corners, they will be fine. You will also learn not to tailgate cars, as those skinny front tires aren't very good when you have to slam on the brakes. ABS gets a real workout

Do you happen to know the weight of the fronts, with and without tires. If you have these numbers it would be much appreciated. Randy

The fronts without tires are 8.x lbs. The tires were 16.x lbs. So a safe guess would be 26 lbs for the fronts with tires. They are really light.
