I've been watching/buying used Michelin PS2s off ebay. Yes, they are NOT new, but getting an excellent performing tire ($500 new) for $100-$150 with a couple years of use left.
Toyos, Nitto Invos, and maybe Kumhos are probably a good place to start for NEW 19s. There are sticky DOT road racing tires available, but no real drag radials in 19"..., yet.
I thought TireRack was "closing out sale" on some Pirellis. Not sure exact size/specs.
Maybe some good used 285/35-19s over on Corvetteforum (C6 rear tire)?

I had 17/18 PS2s on my last C5 Z06. They were AWESOME for daily driving and aggressive street use/abuse (fronts were about half tread, rears were almost done). Tried some 18/19 C6 Z06 Goodyears (used, but much newer, slightly deeper, 'fresh' tread), but went back to my old Michelins and enjoyed driving the car again.
The PS2s are some of the lightest street tires when comparing other 17s, 18s, and 19s weights.
The tires that I watch on ebay are usually take-offs from top-end Porsches. I just bought one 305/30-19 PS2 for $101 shipped. It was obviously a single tire, and had been professionally patched, but it has about 85% tread life left ($550 new). I also have a pair of 295/30-19 PS2s coming Wednesday. They are supposed to have 6-7/32nds tread depth, and only cost me $165 for the pair, SHIPPED! If I can get them to work as FRONTS, they will easily last me a couple years (I don't drive the car in winter) of idiotic street antics.

Cruise the C5 and C6 sections on Corvetteforum. They are starting to run those bigger Invos, and comparing them to Goodyears, Michelins, and others.

Hey Rob, a lot of the BMW/MB customers at my shop run PS2's in smaller sizes obviously, but see excellent wear out of them. And good performance from them as well. A lot of our M3 customers like them.

the invo's are suposed to be a really good tire but i would defenetly stay away from the generals.
i have 245/35/19's on the front of my 03 e500 mercedes and 275/30/19's on the rear and the front are very very loud but sill have about 70% thread on em and the rear are compleatly gone and thats at 12k miles.
its a luxury car not a performance car so i can get a set of nexen 3000's for 550 shiped so ill end up geting those.
there suposed to be decent and i would go with the invo's but the thread wear is not that high and 19in tires are not cheap.

Yeah PS2s are stupid expensive. If you're wanting to cheap it out definetly take these guys advice and find some good condition used tires. If you want new, let me know, we sell Michelins, I may be able to help you out depending if the size you need is available from our depot.
