What width? Mine are 38 mm offsets.

Berger has 9.5" all the way around.

Red Camaro has 9.5" front and 10.5" rear . . .

Pics in sig.

So you are getting 8" wide wheels witha 38 mm offset widened?

Assuming the widening only occurs on the backside of the wheel:

The front will mathmatically net you a 57 mm offset similar to stock.

The rears will net a 76 mm offset, and that ain't gonna fit.

I have 98 T/A. Would a 285/?/17 or 295/?/17 tire fit on a 17x11 Zr1 wheels? Thanks!

A 285/40ZR17 fits on a 17" x 11" wheel but looks a little odd, since the tire tread is a little narrower than the 11" width. Never heard fo a 295 series that fit.

Question

Hey, I have a 2002 3.8L Camaro (I can't afford a T/A or SS, I know :[ ). My car is all bone stock. I've read through all of this and I'm completely confused. I just bought some c6 rims . They are 17x8.5 +56mm and 18x9.5 +58mm. I have not bought tires yet because I do not know which sizes to run.

What size tires do I need? (I was thinking 265/45 front 275/40 rear)
Will they fit? If not, what do I need to do to get them to fit? (BFH or spacers? If so, what kind of spacers are the best?)
Will they look good? (Do I need the spacers anyways to make the rims look like they belong on the car?)

Thanks!

[edit] Actully the more I think about it, I think I might need spacers. I don't really feel confident in my ability's to not screw up the BFH mod. So, do you guys think 265/45/17 front 275/40/18 rear with 1/4 or smaller spacer (to compliment the +58mm offset in the back) would work/lookgood/be safe? Or do I need a bigger size spacer? Thanks again guys! [/edit]

The front you should run a 265/45ZR17 and in back run a 275/35ZR18. The overall diameter of the tires should be around 25.7" so your speedo will not be affected.

The front wheels/tires will fit just fine, the rear should also. I'd put them on and see if you have issues. You may want to run a spacer, 1/4" is about the max you can run on stock wheel studs, once you go any fatter, you'll want to change out the studs.

Default Will it fit??

Ok, quick question before I bid on some rims. The rims (AR Rebels) are an 18x9 with the correct bolt pattern and a 6" backspacing. Would these rims fit on a lowered (Eibach Sportlines) 96 Camaro Z28?
Thanks again guys!

Default Too tall?

A friend of mine has some wheels he wants to get rid of, 285/45/17. Are these too tall of a wheel to fit on the back ofmy T/A? I always thought 285's would only fit if the were 40mm tall? Thanks,
Luke

Not enough BS, they will stick out of the wheel well. BS needs to be closer to 7"

Too tall . . . they would mess up the ABS and look goofy.

I am thinking about getting some eagle series 185's. they are 17x8's is the only thing I don't like, but have a 38mm offset that should put them out pretty close to the fender i'm hoping. Anyway my question is, what is the tallest, widest tire I can run on these? I would like to fill up as much of the gap between the tire and fenders as possible without lowering it and also have the widest patch and still look good and be safe. I have a programmer to change the tire diameter in my computer, so I thought I would see what you guys thought.

245/45ZR17 is your best bet.

Yea that's what I figured you might say, I knew that was pretty much the standard. but I was checking the tire calculator and checked a 255/45/17 and it is showing .39" wider and .39" taller than stock. Would that still be pushing it or do you think that I could get by with that and still be ok, and would it look better and perform better than the 245/45/17 on an 8 inch wheel? Thanks for the help

Sure that is a possibility too. Similar to 9" wheel guys running 285/40ZR17, just know htat the speedo would need to be reprogrammed.

I need some help and pretty fast too!
My car is a '95 Formula with stock 16x8's with 245's on them
How would 17x11 ZR1's with a 36 mm offset fit on the rear. According to Kumho I can use a 275 tire and would that look ok? Will I have clearance issues?
Thanks so much!!!

Firebirds can run the 36 mm offest, although I think the 50 looks better. 275's can be run on a 11" wide wheel, but that is a pretty small tire for such a wide wheel. The 11" wheel is designed more for the 315 series tires.
