Thanks!

17" x 9.5" with a 46 mm offset running 275/40ZR17.

Your wheelk sizes are fine. Tire sizes way off.

275/40ZR17 front and 315/35ZR17 rear, with those wheels.

275/35ZR18 is the best and recommended. But a 285/35ZR18 can do.

A 295, requires a 10" or larger wheel width.

I am looking at a set of C6 wheels that are 18 X 8.5 with a 56mm offset. Will these look and fit ok? What size tire would be best for them?

245/40ZR18. They will fit, but will be tucked in.

How bad will these rims tuck in on a ta? Is there going to be any clearance issues on the inside?

No, there wont be any issues, they will for the most part ride in the wheel well just like a stock wheel.

Would it be bad to put 275/35/19s on a 8.5" rim? If so what does it affect?

Thanks!

That tire does not fit a 8.5" width rim.

You need a 245/35ZR19

A 255 should fit too, just that it won't come in a diameter to match OEM . .

What would that affect? The only thing that leads me to them being wider than 8.5" is cause the 235 that I have on there is stretched pretty bad. (it was a wheel and tire package the previous owner bought) thats why I dont know much about them.

Thanks a ton man!

F-Car ABS wants the front and rear tires to be as close to the same Overall Diameter . . . if the OD between the two is too great the computer will freak out, and casue trouble lights or fail during a panic stop . . .

Plus I personally like to keep my tires as close to OEM OD as possible.

Sorry, im lost, what do people do when they put like 315's on the back? I understand that they are going to have a 10 or 11" rim but what would putting a wider tire affect it when doing that doesnt? Im not trying to argue or say your wrong I just dont understand. Thanks for the help.

It doesnt. But 315's are usually 35 series, and if you are running a 40 series tire up front then the OD might be diiferent.

They are actually talking about problems with running a 17" front and 18" rear

Am I reading the chart on the first page correctly? That I can run a 10" wide rim with a 285 tire on the front? Or will a bfh be required? Gonna go play auto-x eventually, I'd like some wide rubber all around.

Most likely as long as the offset fits . . . not sure what would though . .

BFH does not apply to the front of the car, only the rea.
