Default So what tires keep you from spinning?

On the street, what tires are you guys using to keep your cars somewhat under control on the spin situation with a stall?

BFG's are without a doubt far better than the Nitto's but don't expect more than 2-3k miles on the BFG's. All I ever got with Nitto's was wheelhop, wich is the WORST thing you can do to a rear, U-joint, driveshaft, or transmission.

At least when the BFG's actually spun, they just SPUN, not violently beat the living snot out of my drivetrain.

FWIW Nitto's cost me my original 10 bolt. Worthless IMO, not even a comprimise. I'd rather just spin all day long on a street tire.

I was thinking more along the lines of a every day tire. Obviously won't be as good as a drag radial, but you get the idea.

Nittos have served me well on the street. They last longer and are much safer in the rain then either BFG's or ET Streets.

I think if Nittos are giving wheelhop, they are sticking
well and just exposing a need for suspension geometry
changes (anti-squat).

Nitto 555R's great drag radial but I've heard they have to be heated very well they have a pretty good tred life also. Whats your setup.

I personally am running some cheap yoko's on the street. I've adjusted my driving and know how much gas would cause me spin. I just got a good decent every day tire.

I've went a 1.59 60ft on Nitto's, numerous amount of times IMO They work very well

Best on them, 11.86 @ 112 (1.59)

Not to mention I get about 12-15K miles out of each set.

BFG's are a better track tire.. but are worthless on the street any where it rains.
