If you had a 15" x 5" wheel you could go with a 195/70/15, but your best selection of tires comes in a 205/65/15 size, but then you would need a 15" x 5.5" wheels.
Otherwise you stuck with a drag tire.

My Bad!
Here you go.
165/80/15 (25.4" tall) a little shorter than stock height

195 or 205 is way too wide for that size wheel.

go with a 165 or 175 tire.

On my '77 Camaro with 15x3.5 wheels I ran 165r-15's for years. I just got one of the less expensive tires. I didn't have trouble with them unless I did any 120+ mph blasts.

I ran cheapo skinny tires for a long time, just be careful. A lot of those tires are not rated to carry the weight of a car like a 4th gen. I blew out the sidewall of one on the highway.

I stopped using them because I was worried that the tire got ruptured after a wheelie.

Here is a 165r15 tire that tore apart on the freeway at 135+mph. I was able to handle it and came out safe. The tread actually came apart and it tore up my fender and skirt. I was about 3 miles from my house and made it there. The tire still had air in it, just no tread.

I went with the MT sportsman radial up front also. It's a little tall but that helps me on roll out at the track. Like posted above you need something that will carry the weight.

Hey all- sorry to rehash an old thread, but had a quick question and found this by doing a search. I have M/T Fronts 24x4.0 and they look too small on my prostars, plus they are not street legal. I will be ordering a new set of 26s this week. I am torn between the Sportsman and the Sportsman S/R. Which is stronger/better tire?? I see there are two people using sportsmans and one using the S/R. I just want the best, strongest of the two tires. Thank you!
