I have the ZR1 17'' by 11'' in the rear, what is the widest tire i can put on there? I already have 315/35/17s, but I want more....

do u make enough power to go bigger without bogging on launches?

I'm running a 325/50 15 on mine....I don't think I can go any bigger without cutting some stuff....hope this helps....

So, Again I ask... But nobody can give me soild numbers.. Ok, I'll help out, I know for a fact that we can put BFGoodrich 335/35/17s on the zr1 with stock suspension.

BUT WHAT IS THE BIGGEST TIRE I CAN PUT ON IT?

I don't know if you realize this or not, but noone is paid to help people out here. So, with that sort of an attitude, you're not going to get any help..... It's all done out of love for the hobby, and wanting to help others get involved. If I were you I'd keep that in mind, especially when you are asking these people for information that can be found by a little research.

 

You'd be lucky as hell to get a 335/35-17 to fit without any modification. I do realize that all cars are slightly different, but 99% of the time you will have to BFH with a 315 let alone a 335. After BFH you get into rolling fender lips.

 

I have Nitto 305/35 18's on stock ZO6 rim and had to do BFH mod and w/ 1/8" spacer still rubs fender lip sometimes. With only bolt-ons I lost 2/10 in 1/4 mile, extra weight hurt, plus boged out of the hole. I like the look of the fat tire, but when racing I slap on the stock 17's and 275 DR.

 

The fattest tire that I have run is the GoodYear Eagle F1 GS D3's in the 315/35 flavor. Don't let the 315 fool you. These are wide 315s. Wide to the point where there is less than half inch space between the tire and the lower controls arms. Thats for sure.

We had 335 viper tires on 17x11 zr1s, nothing rubbed at all

 

Highly doubt that one. MAYBE with stock suspension on flat straight roads.
If you drive the car at all besides at the track, you're going to need to BFH with a tire 315+.
I had to BFH with my 295s

 

My exact setup on 17x11 ZR1's.

 

theres people going 9's on those wheels,get a real tire not a nitto.the new M&H tires or the new M/T's that came out would hook just fine on your setup.im over 500rwhp,and thats with a turbo so it hits hard and i deadhook 2nd with my new 295/35/18 BFG's

 

My car is with Steve at PT Motorsports. Its getting a D1SC upgrade. Once I get the car back I'll post pics.

 

By the way, I found out that you you roll your fenders, you can fit just about any 335s and even 28s!
