15x8's would fit better. the 10s are overkill. but fitment issues will be determined more by your tire size than anything else. 15x8's with a 275/50/15 M/T drag radial will take the least amount of mods to make fit.
...or so im told

by wider selection do you mean bigger tire? keeping in mind hes trying to fit these wheels with out hammering the wheel wells or rolling the fender. im taking a stab in the dark here and am assuming that the car is just a weekend cruiser or maybe even daily driver...which in that case, 15x10s are overkill. a 15x8 with a 275 drag radial would be fine. considering that cars are in the 7's on them.

yes 275's are in the 7's but there on a 10 in wheel .... they fit fine and are not an overkill but 10 or 8 in wheels require major grinding not pounding the wheel well or rolling the fenders . you will need to see how the fit then make the mods...but the grinding is priority

And I know you're not comparing a 7 second drag radial car to his "stock suspension daily driver" as you put it. You do realize the suspension on a 7 second drag radial car isn't even in the same ballpark as that of the suspension on his "weekend cruiser."
To add to your argument further, they do not run 7s on the 275/50r-15 tire that you have previously mentioned. They use the most sidewall they can in running a taller tire as the added sidewall will provide better traction. 275 radial guys use a 28" tall radial, not a 25.7" tall radial like the 275/50r-15 you had mentioned.

Right here. You assumed that his car was a weekend car or daily driver. Chances are it is. Thus confirming that his car is not set up to run 7 second ETs on a 275 radial.
They sure have. Again, the suspension geometry on a sub 7 second drag radial car is a bit more thought out, and setup than that of a daily driven F-body. I'm sure you're well aware that the term "stock suspension" doesn't refer to the way it rolled off the assembley line, and that it does mean that components are just in the factory location.

ok you win. O/P...apparently you just need to grind your calipers and the 15x10's will fit with out doing any other modifications. sorry we hijacked your thread arguing over something you didn't even ask about.
