Default Found some wheels-help me decide-Blunt Comments welcome

Well hello ladies and gents. I am new to the forum and this will be my first post. Just picked up a sweet little 96 trans am and now I need wheels.

First pick: TSW nogaro 19x8 fronts-20x10 rear

concerns-only being able to run a 245 wide tire in the front compared to a 305 in the rear. Do you think the proportions will look silly?

They do have an option for 20x8.5 in front so I could get a little wider, but I think 20 bones might be a lill to big for my front side.

Second pick:TSW indy 500 19x8 fronts-20x10 rear

concerns-the same

Third pick: OE wheels 18x9.5 fronts and 18x10.5 rears
you have seen them

concerns- I dont know if the 18's are big enough for those wheel wells

My ideal rim would be this guys

but axis not longer makes that bolt pattern.

I could get their new super hiro, but I would have to get a 5.75 to 5.5 bolt adapter. They make them, but the spacer is 1.25 inches and I do not know enough about wheels to figure out if the offsets would work. Is anyone a wheelologist that can help with this one?

They offer the wheel in 19 x 9.5--offsets of either 25 or 45

Hey if anyone can figure out how to make this wheel work, I am forever in your dept cause this wheel is sick

IMO go with the OE wheels. I think most 20s are way too big for are cars there are a couple that pull it off but not many

+1. Why put a huge 20" wheel on the back and kill more torque than you really need to? Stick with a nice 18, drop it a few inches, and then it'll look real nice. To each their own though. Whatever you chose, I hope it works out and that you're satisfied with your choice.

the first one is not bad but 20 is too big. 19 at the biggest, but would need a nice drop.

I prefer the first of the two. Like it has been stated, 20s are overkill on these cars. Stick with 18s or 19s.

i figure that would be the general response. The problem of going with the 19" setup in TSW is that they only offer them in 8" wide. I think skinny 245 s in the rear will look dummpy

OE's for sure. Agreed on the 20's comment. I almost went with black HP Evo IIs in 18x8 front and 19x10 rear this summer. They looked cool but I don't know what I'd think f hte 19 rears now, especially with tire prices in 19's, ouch. Glad I went with 17" TTII's and some extra fat meat on the back though.

The first wheel looks nice, and done right you can pull off the look with 20's

Wrong, you can get them in a 18 x 9.5 and a 19 x9.5 +45 offset.
For tires 275 or 285/35/18s, and 275 or 285/30/19s

I like the Indy 500 style. Be great if a Wheel/Tire shop had some for you to test fit to see if you would like them at that size
