Default Anyone run 245/40/17 and 315/35/17

Anybody ever ran this set-up, if so do you have any pics? I am in the market for some new tires, on a serious budget, and 245s seem to be quite a bit cheaper if you can find them in good shape used over 275s. Appreciate it

1st, the correct size would be 245/45, not 245/40...
2nd, what size r ur rims??? stock 17x9's? stick with 275/40's
245/45's should be on 8 or 8.5
275/40's should be on 9 or 9.5
315/35's should be on 10.5 or 11

I'm sorry but I am going to call BS. There is no way a 245/40 will sit flush with the outer lip on a 9.5" wheel. How about a pic of the tire size?

I have 255/40's on a 9.5" wheel and they ballon in just a bit. If anything OP, I would go with that size instead of a 245/40

I had a 245/45/17 on a OE 17x9 ZR1 wheel, and it looked terrible. Completely stretched, and wore unevenly. 245/40's look even worse, because of the shorter sidewall. My buddy has them on the 17x9's on the front of his Mustang and it looks horrible. Do yourself a favor and find some 275/40's. There not expensive by any means.

I agree, 245s on a 9-9.5 inch wheel is tiny. I had that set up for about 2 wks bc my buddy had a pair at discount tire he was going to throw away. They looked mf horrible.

Not sure about 245, but mine are 255 nitto 555's in the front. I love them and you can almost make out the size on the second pic. The fronts are stock wheels but the backs are 17x11.

Very nice looking car.
Do you have any problems with the 315/35/17 in the rear rubbing?
I am thinking about them with 275/40/17.s on front
Thanks
Brad

I run a 245 on my stock WS6 wheels up front. I refuse to put a 275 back on there, I hate the way it handles. They aren't 100% flush but definetly dont look stretched as some are implying. Again this will vary between tire brands just like a Nitto 315 being about as wide as a 275 Goodyear.

what am looking at on that link, i don't get it??

what i was getting at with the tire size is that the 245/40's r shorter that the stock size...

245/50x16 = 25.65"
275/40x17 = 25.66"
245/45x17 = 25.68"
245/40x17 = 24.71"

Not sure what the offset is. I'll look tomorrow, they are not on the car now. Sorry.
