Default 275/35/18 or 275/40/18

i was gona run 275/35/18 all the way around because i know it will clear but i was thinking about the 275/40/18 to have just a little bit more side wall but i wasnt sure if it will clear in the front. i have 18x9.5 z06 wheels coming with 50mm off set.

anyone runing 275/40/18 do they rub up front?

I was wondering the samething as crf450. I'm putting 18's on my Trans Am and can't decide between those tire sizes either.

it actually looks better to run the 35 series in front and 40 in the back.i didn't like the way mine looked with 35 on all 4.so i bought nittos and did the 35f/40r and i love it.the 40 will be about 1/ inch taller.if you have sportline springs or something low like that i think you migt end up rubbing with the 40 on front

There is a ZL1 Camaro in a magazine I have who has 40 series all the way around. ( I forgot what magazine )

That is because all ZL1 Supercars came with Good-Year Supercar tires and the 40 series in a 275 width is all that is available.

Again, a 40 series tire is too tall and looks goofy.

My car rides pretty low, and the 275/35/18's brush the front wheel liner at the front at full lock and the top at full compression - I would not use a taller tire.
