BEWARE OF LUGNUTS PROVIDED WITH KITS
Was really happy to get the wheels. First let me say the hub centric rings are a real pain in the ***. I just ditched em since the first one broke when I tried putting it in the rim with grease
Then, I decided to install the wheels without the rings since I saw many post about plp doing it and its fine.
I used the lugnut provided with the kits and I notice that the lugnut is going in a funny way(like if the stud was bent)...So I'm thinking maybe its because it doesnt have the ring. The space is really tight to fit the box tool so I go easy by hand with the ratchet and make sure I dont scratch anything. I dont like the feeling of it so I unbolt the lugnut that I've tightened by hands(car jacked) and SURPRISE: the paint around the bolt hole is cracked and is peeling off!!!
I'm like WTF!! this rim quality is total crap!!! Heres what happened; the lugnuts provided were not straight so it would not bolt in straight, but rather in a small circle movement that was rubbing the paint around the bolt hole at the end of the threads. .
So the good old GM lugnuts are back in!!!
Anyway, I'll contact the company(non sponsor) to tell em their lugnuts are the worst piece of crap that I've ever seen, and then, I'll tell em that those rim's paint quality are as good as ****. Its a good thing I didnt used an air tool to bolt the rims, they would have shattered in million pieces..
They look good though, and theyre cheap.
