Default FYI NT05R Work in rain!

Well yesterday went to a local meet and started raining, I completely hate driving in rain specially with the camaro. I was scared as **** cause didn't know how these new tires would act. was poring down and driving slow about 25 mph and slowly started going up to 60 and well drove just fine as if it was dry. So for those who want a real good sticky tire and good for daylie and the rain. NT05R good for u!!

I'm amazed. Is it possible that Nitto has developed a tire with the hook of the MT ET's that hold up well to daily driving?

Friday & Saturday I had no problem driving in poring rain going 40-60 in the NT05R's, I was paranoid the car was going to lose traction, but the car drove just fine as if i was driving on dry road.

thank you red281gt, I was debating whether to get the 555r's since I do drive in the rain, vs the nt05r which seem to hook much better at the track.
all I wished for was for someone to try it.

FYI: I drive like a ***** in the rain, with Goodyear eagles, minivans pass me.

408 and a 10 bolt with 555r's- maybe can last
408 and a 10 inch with. Nt05r- blown to pieces

I should wait for the 9 inch!!!!!
But those new nittos are the ****, a couple of friends have them and they are really happy! Yet no rain yet

I almost bought the NT05R for my car, but went with the Toyo Proxes TQ, actually thinking it might be better for a DD (still think it will be, however) partly due to the NT05R looked like an accident waiting to happen if stuck in rain. I may still get some one day though

Mines were like that when they were brand brand new like maybe 20 from discount to the track lol not broken in or nothing. After the second week end at the track I was hooking real good , they just had to be broken into
