Default FM5s are Finally On (Pewter T/A)

I purchased these wheels for a great price from a forum member in the southern classified a few weeks ago. 17x9 front and 17x11 rears. When fitting the wheels I noticed that the drivers side rear wheel was sitting a lot further foward than the right (about 2 inches). I ordered some on-car adjustable lcas (roto joint) from UMI along with an adjustable PHR.

After a few hours of sweat and adjustments the wheels went on WITH NO BFH. I was amazed. They even clear the bump stops at full extension (it is close and I will probably remove them just to be safe).

The front tires are Kumhos and the rears are Nitto 555Rs (315s obviously). I dead hooked a 1 - 2 shift this afternoon where I was spinning through third.

On to the PICS!

The car is lowered with the old design BMR springs and Koni shocks.

Well I put the 3 inch duals on in my wilder college years when all I wanted was for everyone to know I was coming.

Daily highway commutes in traffic kind of ruined that for me so I had it ran out the back. The guy did a pretty poor job but it is much much quiter now (still loud as hell outside).

The car has over 100k miles on it. If I ever do a complete tear down I would redo the exhaust but now it is just not worth it.

Dude, you got ripped off. Those look hideous on your car. I tell you what, I'll take one for the team and take them from you and you can have my chrome C5 Z06 wheels instead. I'll even pay for the shipping.

Those wheels look killer but is there any knockoffs that look like these or look close to these?

You could look at the OE Wheels C5 Deep dish. Smaller lip but a 5 star design. Not a bad looking wheel on a budget. I was seriously considering them until I got a deal on the Fikse.

I was actually considering this (flat black) + corsa clones as my next mod.
