Is it just me or do OE DD C5's look like CCW SP500?

For the price tag, the CCW's can take a back seat and collect dust while I sport the DD C5's from OEWHEELS. Who wants to take out a second mortgage on wheels?

[QUOTE=Revcore66;14102597]Have to agree about the center caps. That's why they should be producing 97pontta's custom center caps. https://ls1tech.com/forums/wheels-ti...nter-caps.html

Ya I wish he or OEwheels would produce those center caps. Vette centers belong only on vettes period and I would never rock them on my Trans Am. They change the whole feel of the wheel.
On a side note if OE ever produced replica Fikse's, CCW's, Firehawk, 10 spokes, or WS6 wheels they would make a fortune.

That would be the DD C6 Z06's. Lol. They'd be pretty much identical.

If you CCW wheels in person, you will see the difference.

Those look great! Might even be cool to have the center "cap" on those be a hole, so that your OEM caps would it inside them.

That would be cool as well. Anything but the standard caps look much better IMO.

Are we really comparing American made custom forged wheels with some cheap chinese cast nock-offs, seriously? The C5 DD's are a very basic 5 spoke design, nothing new, there are tons of rims out there sporting the thin 5 spoke look.

But on looks alone, yeah, I guess they look similar from 50ft

Well, I wouldn't exactly say the design is nothing new. I challenge you to name on one hand all the 18x10.5 rims with more than 1 inch lip in this price range for these cars. I also wouldn't say it is a nock off either. Looking up close, it is quite different. Spokes are longer and protrude out into the lip, edges are more rounded, center cap is flat. I think the ccw is a phenomenal looking wheel but if don't have at least a 3 inch lip, from a looks perspective, it starts to look a little more ordinary. The c5 dd doesn't have the same depth and at times looks average, yet in some lights and angles, it still impresses the hell out of me. I think the updated center cap would be a definite plus. Still, the sp 500, 11 inches wide with a 3 inch lip is an amazing wheel, of which I hope to own a set down the road.

Not taken from 50 ft away, if you haven't seen it up close, here you go.

excuse the 4x4 stance, will be lowered in the spring
