I'm going to buy a set of 17x11 TT2s with the 46mm offset. Do you guys forsee any issues that I may run into? When running 17x11s on the front, does it usually kick rocks/pebbles on to the side of the car? The car is lowered by the way... Any info/advice/experiences is appreciated
PS, this will be for a street car.

It will look bad, IMO. I had 17x9.5" TT2s with the 46mm offset, and at first I put 285/40s on the front (lots of people have fit 285s up front without issues on 9" stock wheels or 9.5" with less aggressive offsets). The fitment was bad (rubbed horribly on the bumper cover lip during turns), and with the wheel straight they stuck out past the edge of the fender, when looking down from the top (looked bad, IMO). I went back to a 275/40 and most of the rubbing went away, and the tire was now flush with the fender edge. Now, that was all with a 9.5" wheel at that offset, so with an 11" at the same offset you'll have all those issues and worse (especially considering the 11" will also need an even wider tire).

It has been done and I have seen it on a TA and it looked good, didn't stick out or anything. If you have 9.5s and they stick out and rub its your car not the wheel and tire setup IMO
Now I'm setting my car up with 17x11s at all 4 corners and with a 36mm they will stick out just a touch, thats why I went with a 50mm offset and I will be getting a 1/4" spacer so my wheels will be about a 44mm offset wheel with the spacer. I have the front wheels on the car but I don't have any shocks installed at this point. But the wheels without a spacer hit on the spindle, barely but it hits.
On the rear wheels I'll be using a 1/4" spacer as well to keep the rear wheels from looking like their sunk in vs the front wheels
I'll try to remember to take some pics when I'm at my parents house this weekend to give you an idea

On the front, a 17x9.5", 46mm offset, 285/40/17 will rub on turns and stick out just a tad past the fender, when looking from the top down (on a Camaro at least). 275/40 will fit perfect (other than minor rubbing on the wheel well liner at full steering lock). Granted, the tires I used for this did run on the wide side (Goodyear GS-D3).
Problem with a 17x11" wheel is that you'll need a tire wider than a 275/40, which means it will stick out with a 46mm offset.

Unless you are running a track car, or serious autox setup, I would stick with 17x9.5 fronts. Honestly, the good majority of people who run a 10-11" wide front do it for track or autox use. Running wide street tires up front is pointless IMO.

Yup ridiculous, they all look like **** I'm glad everyone wants cookie cutter cars, they all should have the same mods but only the approved ones that everyone does. Reason for me is that I'm building a corner carver and plan on doing some autox and I like to break the mold of the "norm" just because its different doesn't mean it can't look good IMO

I know 315s are great for track cars but it doesn't mean it looks good. If I wasn't going to track days every weekend I would stick to 275s. 315s up front on a street car are utter overkill... if you're driving hard enough on public roads to need 315s you should be arrested. They'll follow ruts in the road which is a pain in the ***, they're more likely to hydroplane, and your power steering pump will be working overtime.
Just stick with some 9.5" wide wheels up front. 275s are MUCH cheaper than 315s, there's more choices of tires, no headaches with fitment, and they don't stick out.

If you like it, go for it man, its all about what you like/want. When you post a thread like this obviously its going to be filled with personal opinions. I think they are way the hell to wide for a front rim, the back yes and that is what i run. but as far as rubbing when turning etc... might be some modifications involved. and the Blue camaro in the last pic looks like he is runnin a tire to small for the rim, looks like the bead is going to pop off....

I'm not asking you guys if it'll look good or not. I've seen it, and it looks killer. If you guys think it'll "look bad", I can careless. The reason for the thread was to ask if you guys could for see any issues up front, bc I've seen mixed answers while researching.

The only issues i would see would be your turning radius with 11' rims up front. esp. if you are going to run something like 315's all the way around. If you are lowered i can definatly see a rubbing issue without modification of the fender wells. Might be really sketchy if its going to be a DD, with tires that wide up front i could imagine it would grab every divit in the road. I say go for it man and see how you like it, will never know until you give it a try. worst case you sell the front set of 11's and get something smaller

It's not so bad on that Firebird, but on the Camaros it looks bad. Like someone said above, the blue LT1 car is using too small of a tire for the wheel, and the other Camaro just looks wrong with those front wheels sticking out that far.
As for fitment issues, I'm sure there will be some clearancing/modification required to get the setup working right with a proper width tire for that rim.

Ive spoken with the guy that owns the 30th anniv with 17x11s all the way around, and he said he had no issues mounting them.
And like I've said, if you guys think they look like ****. That's A-OK with me. You'll never see a thread of mine asking LS1Tech what appearance mods I should do to my car.

With wheels like this, you are at the ragged edge of fitment possibilities. I will be shocked if you have "no isssues" at all with fitment. I hope for your sake it works out.
