^They gota stop putting the vette flag on them too. I didnt mind it running C5 Z06 on my old Camaro, but Id feel like a tool having a vette logo on my Pontiac. Blank caps are the way to go.

I know theyre on polished wheels and theyre not machined but thanks for trying
to correct me . I forgot they were polished until i dug the thread up . I know the
machined is a bitch to match trust me

Nope. My cap is done. Like I said. Probably be a closer silver without the black coat and just do straight silver. The scuff with 220 grit to get the machined marks then clear over that. After that dries wetland with 1000 grit them do one final clear cost. That might work better than what I did seeing as how mine came out a little mire pewter compared to the wheel, which I think is because of the black base coat...

Here is why, this is the closest finish I could find to the OE wheels in all my searching, but they are from a 2006-2009 Z06 wheel.

Here is the back side if anyone can compare to a C5, they looked identical to me just lookin at pics.

THESE WILL NOT WORK WITH OEWHEELS C5 DD. Believe me, ive tried and wasted money. Same goes for the 35th anniversary SS caps. They look similar but when you have them side by side you will notice they are diffent. the difference is the c5 caps are concaved slightly. the 06-09 vette ones are domed. the mounting tabs will not reach the rim since the domed affect make the walls (the part that is closest to where the lugs go) higher.

This sounds like a job for emblempros to me too. They could make some really sick centers, custom high quality. Forget that decal junk imo.

im wanting to see something done with what was said by the OP. how about cutting out the center and fitting the original center caps in.

or what about filling in the corvette logo....then going to a decal place and have them make a WS6 cap sticker....

but im also seeing the other part of this thread where they dont make a brushed cap...ghey...
