Default Prostars or Billet Specialties

I am beyond confused as to what I want to do. I want a set of 15x10's and 15x4's for the track but not sure which to go with. As far as I've seen from searching the Prostars require a little grinding of the caliper in order to fit properly in the rear. The Fbody specific BS Street Lites don't require any grinding but they are over $100 more then the Prostars.

Which weigh less? The Prostars or the BS?

I'm pretty sure the prostars are alittle lighter. I like both wheels they look great.

Yeah I like the look of both as well. I'm just trying to weigh my options. Is it really worth the extra money to not have to grind the caliper a little?

The 15x10 Prostar weighs around 16 lbs.
The 15x4 weighs around 12 lbs.
The 15x10 RT-S (which requires no brake modification) weighs 15 lbs.
The 15x4 RT-S (which also requires no brake modification) weighs 10 lbs.
I hope this helps.

Its easy to grind them. Mine have been grinded for years with no problems. Billet specialties are a touch nicer looking wheel though.

Sweet thanks.

So in reality the prostars are pretty much the same weight as the billet specialties.

yeah I like both looks but in reality they could be pink as long as they served their purpose at the track lol

What would be the cheapest place to find the Weld wheels? I've checked summit and they sell for $772.75 shipped for the prostars.

They stock a ton of Weld's and I think the price is pretty much the same from most of their stocking dealers.
