Transam spare for front runners?
Was hoping someone could tell me if anyone uses the 16" spare rims for an f-body as part of an inexpensive front dragwheel setup for our cars.. I know some people use the GTO spares, so i dont see why ours wont work as well?????????

The only spare that I ever thought was attractive was the one that came with my 1988 Trans Am GTA. It was an 8 or 10 spoke aluminum wheel. I really wanna see the spare the guys in this thread are claiming to be so attractive. The one that came with my WS6 is ugly as ****!

Cmon guys of course im only talking about the rims with DOT approved drag tires mounted on them.. There are tons of vettes and gtos running the gto spares. I think our spare rims would be even stronger since they are not spoked.. I used to run TBSS spares on the front of my TBSS quite a bit..
It would definitely cut down on the overall weight and rolling resistance as compared to a regular 17" chrome 5 spoke and big 275/40/17 tire. Our spare is a 16" x about 4" or 5"... I guess i am being a bit cheap on this thing but where ever i can save money on things like drag wheels and tires the more i can put into the car/motor itself.. It was just a question not a done deal or statement..
