99 Camaro SS 315/35/17 ??
Hello,
I just purchased my SS a few months ago and I was thinking of going to chrome ZR1 wheels with 315'S on the back.I have been reading on here about having to roll the fenders and other things and it seems some people have no problems and dont have to modify anything and just bolt them on???
Will the ZR1's usually work without rubbing?I really dont want to have to modify anything to get them to not rub.
I also read they are heavier,so is there a performance difference in a straight line?
does anyone have them on the front as well?
I had more questions I cant seem to remember right now,I know there are other posts of camaro's with 315's but I would love to see more if you guys didnt mind!!!! Thanks everyone.Jen

i had to tactically modify spots in the inner wheel wells to get mine on. i didn't roll the fenders. i did notice that i need an adjustable panhard bar because the rear is offset to the passenger side about a quarter inch.
unfortunately, those huge 17x11s and 315s slowed the car down slightly. to offset that slight decrease in performance i added an ls6 intake, pulley, tune, ssra, and reworked the exhaust.
good luck! and stay safe.

About all you gotta do is sometimes roll the fenders and BFH mod. Other than that they should bolt right up. As far as em on the front, I'm wanting to think I've seen it done but I'm not gonna say I'm 100% on that though. Post up pics of the SS, I'd like to see her.

I just got some 17x11 zr1's and put 315 40 MT drag radials on them. I had no problems at all. My car is lowered and does not have the fenders rolled. I do think it may have had the bfh mod at one time though (before I got the car). It also does have an adjustable panhard bar.

During the course of this thread, you're gonna see the acronym, 'BFH' used quite often. You'll probably ask what it means, so let's just get this out of the way right now. BFH = Big ******' Hammer.

it has 98k on and it runs great(although I have plans on a rebuilt modified motor) could use a paint job,and has an aftermarket front bumper cover which has to go.Also needs a rear bumper cover.I am pretty much going to have the whole car gone through.

it has 176 k on it and runs great(although I have plans on a rebuilt modified motor) could use a paint job,and has an aftermarket front bumper cover which has to go.Also needs a rear bumper cover.I am pretty much going to have the whole car gone through.

I think his has an aftermarket front bumper and a lot of the companies that make em for Camaros does not engrave Camaro in there front bumpers. Why? I have no idea. My guess would be for copyright reasons kinda like what EmblemPros has to get before making products for our cars weather it be a Camaro, T/A, Formies or whatever.
